Mqg services

I paid the invoice and the electrician promised to come back to complete the work and issue a COC. For more than a week I begged them to return, they made all kinds of promises, but never showed up. Incredibly unreliable and unprofessional. They took my money and had no intention of coming back to complete the job they quoted me on. Their feedback and time management are awful. There have been 4 or 5 days by now, that they promised to come out, I spend the entire day waiting at home for them, only for no-one to show up. No respect for their clients. Avoid them, don't make the mistake I did.

I called MQG services and asked if they can do an inspection on our electrics and make the necessary repairs and then issue a COC as we have sold our house. To this request the electrician said :'Ja tannie, ons doen dit'. I asked several times for a quote after the inspection, but only received the actual quote the same day as the invoice. None of the work done was up to standard. They were hours late every day and on many occasions did not even show up. They blew up the plug on our tenant's decoder. They installed one earthing rod for our fence when one per 10m is required. The worst was they would not leave our yard until we paid in full, despite the work not having been completed and no COC was issued. My husband hurried home and made the payment of R15 600.00 in full. The electrician promised that his wife would send me the COC on the Saturday (she has no idea what a COC is and I sent her an example), this being the next day. Nothing arrived. They broke kitchen tiles, made unsightly holes in the wall and left their cigarette butts and empty coke bottles in my yard. I kept messaging to check on the COC but every time there was an excuse. When I asked too many times, the electrician started swearing on WhatsApp messages (all messages, including profane messages sent to our tenant have been sent to our attorneys). Mqg then sent an actual qualified electrician to us. We were then told that the work done will not pass an inspection and quoted us a further R21 000.00 for repairs to be done. I contacted Mqg to pay back our money as none of the work was done correctly and we never received the service we paid for. The Mqg electrician (if he actually is an electrician) declined my offer to set things right. I have since blocked the Mqg electrician on WhatsApp since he became threatening. I have reported Mqg Services to every legal entity I can and am seeking legal advice on how to get our money back.

The electrictrian came out and assessed our geyser, we were informed that the geyser had burst. We were charged R1450,00 just for that!! We were also informed that we need to replace the geyser which will cost us about R12 500,00. We then got a second opinion, his call out fee was R400 and found out that the initial problem was the thermostat and element and the geyser did NOT burst!Yes, the electrictrian did come out at a reasonable time and was friendly however I do feel that it was a big scam and we were over charged and left with an incorrect diagnosis of the problem. They also did not have their own equipment to get into the roof and used our furniture to climb on. I am not satisfied with the service which was provided.
