Ardmore Ceramic Art
I went with my parents and we all absolutely loved it. The ceramics are spectacular, and the property is gorgeously scenic. It was like stepping into some sort of fairytale. The artists behind all of this are super talented. We ran into Fée Halsted and her daughter Megan on our visit- they are really warm, down-to-earth and kind people. The guy helping us out in the shop, Fiso, has a great sense of humour :). Lovely.

We were told about Ardmore by a friend we made at Piggly Wiggly. She told us we would not regret paying them a visit.The setting of the gallery is already scenic; on the Ardmore farm with the backdrop of the Drakensberg, even the drive there is fun.There's something so wholesome about Ardmore and their artwork. Knowing that each piece is unique, specifically designed and speaks to the truth of the artist behind it, makes it much more than just a beautiful piece of art...We really loved being able to see the artists working on their next pieces right there.

I must admit at first I was a bit bowled over by the bright colours and thought it'd not really my taste but when I looked closely I began to appreciate the intricate designs and attention to detail, I found individual pieces that I really fell in love with. I guess it's a stimulation overload when you see everything together but savor the experience by looking at each item individually.
