Cold in winter plus near the sea.

I enjoyed every bit of this place...

My husband myself our 3 Weimaraner and 2 friends just returned from a long weekend at Misty Mornings in Kommetjie. The house is beautiful, the kitchen and appliances are spectacular, we didn’t miss a thing! The living area with its fireplace was great, although it was cold and raining outside, it was cosy inside. The fence and yard is secure for large breed dogs, I was stressed about the pool, but it was all good! Only the one corner where the pool pump is, the fence is a bit low so we had to barricade it off. The master bedroom and en-suite is beautiful! We flipped a coin and our friends had the pleasure of occupying the top floor. The bottom room is a bit small, but you don’t really need more than a comfortable place to sleep. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly lady who showed me all the ropes. The couches are comfortable, the dining area is great! The driveway is a bit tricky with big vehicles but it’s safe and off the road so close to perfect. The view from the living room, the sound and smell of the ocean was exactly what we needed to relax. The lack of phone reception was a blessing in disguise, but WiFi still kept us connected. As a fur kid mom, the most important thing was the safety of my dogs and I got that, so all in all I can’t wait to go back! Thanks so much Jo for a beautiful property!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at Misty. What a wonderful setting for us to celebrate our daughter for her 7th birthday. On a cold winters night the fireplace was just what we needed. We left feeling refreshed and grateful.

My family and I had a lovely time at Misty Mornings. Place is safe and secure, if you need tranquillity this is the place to be. Waking up to the view and sound of the sea just completes your stay. The house is beautiful and child friendly.

An amazing two nights of relaxation with everything one could need at your fingertips and an absolutely perfect location for a beach break. Nothing to fault at all.

Had the most wonderful relaxing rainy anniversary weekend there. Log fires, red wine, great big comfortable sofas and the sound of the waves crashing outside. just perfect!

Leider sehr heruntergekommen. Die Möbel sind speckig und kleben, in die Badewanne traut sich niemand. Sie sieht ganz schlimm dreckig aus, das soll aber wohl extra so sein.. kindersicher ist es leider auch nicht. Die Einfahrt ist so eng, dass die Autospiegel Kratzer abbekommen haben. Ein Stern gibt es für die Lage nah am Strand. Der Rest ist leider echt unschön..

Beautiful home a short stroll to the beach. Comfortable furnishings and the best fireplace. Spacious living area with super comfortable couches. Lovely pool and outside seating Well equipped kitchen perfect for families and friends who want to do a self catering holiday. We loved the ocean views and amazing sunsets from the upstairs bedrooms. A short drive to the Slangkop lighthouse and to Imhoff Farm. About a 30km drive from Cape Town.
