Avontuur Estate Restaurant
Scrumptious, beautiful, tasty food. Priced well. Atmosphere just awesome. Worth driving 260km round trip to meet friends for lunch. The only fault that I picked up with the venue is the Acoustics in the conference hall. I have had a few meetings there over the last few years, hearing the speaker is a problem.The 4 and 6 seater tables in the Dining room did not experience a problem with the Acoustics. Love going to Avontuur.

What a delightful meal and experience. My soul was rested and pleased by time we left. The home made bread made a delicious welcome starter, dipped in most amazing olive oil, I was dissapointed that's not on sale there. The wine, salad and deep fried ice cream was lovely too.pleSe note breakfast end at 11h00 but lunch is only served from 12h00.

An absolute must. If you enjoy a great value for money, then look no further. Firstly, they give you 5 options of wine and they give you enough wine. They give you info on the wine vintage. Secondly the fudge pairing is enough because they give big pieces of fudge, spesifically chosen for the wine. Add a beautifull historic house where the tasting takes place, makes this a good way to spend a couple of hours. Onsite wine sales and restaurant is available. Check with them for bookings.

Attention to detail and very particular to client service, a happy client is a priority. I had an almond milk cuppa with offish milk, they apologized profusely and sent the new one immediately. Delicious food and relaxing atmosphere.

I've eaten here a few times and always enjoyed it. We see it as a special treat.This time we went for breakfast, day before Mother's Day.Ambience and Vibe are great.Friendly staff. Well presented food.Sadly, the service was slow. We eventually had to find a staff member to pay the bill.Another table gave up waiting for their tea. The Waitron said she had to make it herself!Perhaps there was a staff shortage or staff change over for lunch?We will certainly return.

Delish food and price! There isn’t a bad view with the stunning landscape surrounding the estate.The beet antipasta was good and my salad with papaya, pistachio and ham was filling and flavorful! Great fried ice cream too!

Celebrated my 70th with a couple who are close friends. Everything was just perfect - most of us enjoyed a three course meal. The presentation, flavours, quality and portion size were spot on. I certainly didn't need supper. Have never been disappointed at this restaurant.

We had a lovely little birthday celebration at Avontuur, the food was delicious with a wild selection of options ranging from vegetarian to non. We loved the wine too.
