Incredible stay at oak hurst, there were so many activities for us to do and the food they provided was delicious and affordable. Elias took us horseback riding and made it an unforgettable experience! Thank you Oakhurst we hope to return

We had a wonderful stay! A lovely family experience in nature and farm life, great combination of comfy cottage and nature exploring. The only thing I would do differently next time, is stay in a unit that is not semi- detached to another cottage. I would ensure choosing one more isolated and private.Service was amazing and super friendly and attentive staff.

We had a lovely time at Oakhurst. So much to do for everyone and really close to various activities. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped and the breakfast baskets are wonderful. The walks are gorgeous, the swings are most entertaining, and we even saw a little bushbuck walk right past our cottage. It was lovely!The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because of the showers. Firstly both of the cottages we stayed at (including the forge) only had showers, which made it a bit difficult with a small child. No problem if you only come for a weekend or if you can swim, but we stayed with for a week in winter, so “getting clean” became mandatory! The shower heads are also very small and old fashioned. They leave a gap in the middle of the spray the size of a dinner plate, spraying water everywhere except where it is needed. We eventually took off the shower heads and then had a much better shower experience :-)All in all, I would totally recommend Oakhurst. The showers are a small blip on an otherwise perfect experience. Most enjoyable!

Our stay at Oakhurst was honestly one of the best experiences we have ever had! Really great accommodation surrounded by matchless views and a host of outdoor activities that kept us and our kids busy all week. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back - we can't rave about it enough!

We are truly blessed in the Garden Route with quality accommodation. Stayed in the tents and accommodation. Different experiences, both good. Well appointed and set up. Very comfortable. Loved the birdlife, the baboons and bush buck especially at the cottage. The farm shop was excellent. Ate the best chicken pie Ive ever eaten. Fresh creamy milk daily. Freshly made salads. Great selection of quality food. Staff very friendly and we were made to feel most welcome. A week was not long enough. A big thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable.

I took my wife and kids here (11 and 13) , we had such a good time. The accomodation was just amazing , the farm so beautiful and the location in Hoekwil just perfect. The activities such as archery and dairy visit made it so interesting. We will most certainly be back.Thank you

We stayed at The Forge. Great value for money. Comfortable and clean accommodation. Electric blankets on beds. Lovely fireplace inside. Amazing views over the farm. Spacious showers overlooking the forest. Outdoor shower in the garden! Fully kitted with everything you need. They have a wonderful farm shop with meats, frozen food, dessert and kids games. Great walks around the farm. Cannot wait for our return soon.

Excellent family accommodation with loads of fun activities for the kids. Efficient and friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

Had a wonderful weekend with our 2 young children. Biking, hiking, horse rides, you name it. The forge is an amazing space for a proper relaxing weekend. All the staff were informative and friendly! Would definitely visit again!
