My company subsidised a custom, all-in-one battery and inverter from NuPower.It worked fine for about 8 months. Then it would not work, took it to them, zero feedback, always have to follow up. Eventually got it back. Doesnt even switch on. Back it goes, comes back, and now it is intermittent when it works. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.Their turn around time is terrible. There support is terrible. They are just terrible. Stay away from NuPower.

An overall abysmal experience: no communication, no updates and poor service delivery. I sit here in my dark house after paying over 120k for a system that they have spectacularly dissatisfied me with, and have no means of contacting anyone for assistance as they block and ignore all calls/messages. If i could give them 0, i would.My story: we went looking to upgrade our old battery system. Shortly after contacting Nupower, they had sent out someone to review the current system on 03 february 2022. Which we were told was a good system and the inverter did not need to be changed. They would get us a quote.First flag, i had to continually ask for the said quote. We eventually received the quote 17 February 2022.After deliberation and confirming funding we paid the deposit of 70% on 14 March. We were aware there may be delays due to other projects. And our installation was set to 6 April 2022.Second flag, due to delays they had to postpone installation to 22 April 2022. This was communicated ON the 6 April when they were expected.Third flag, on 22nd April they arrive and start the setup. We were informed the system would not be connected till monday when the electrician would be available. On the day of setup, we are informed that the solar panels, which need to be northwest facing, would be in a shadow of a tree which we should cut down. On the day of installation. It was decided the panels would be placed in a different direction and rediscussed later. It was ALSO brought to our attention on the day that the inverters required batteries they do not have in stock and need to order. Things we should have long before been informed about.18 July 2022, almost 3 months later, we have our batteries available and installed, after constantly calling marie for updates as she never provided any without me calling first. NOW we find out the solar panels we have ordered, paid for and set up will NOT allow us to run off grid as the inverter is not set up for such. And therefore they will ONLY charge out batteries IF its sunlight and their is no main power input. Fortunately they were agreeable and removed the solar panels to a bare number.However the battery system is still dysfunctional, not turning on when power goes out and tripping before turning on in other instances.They are unreachable and the emergency number on their site is answered by a gentleman who only works with the water component.Frikkie is completely unreachable, never answering calls nor replying to messages. Marie has been repeatedly needed to be reminded that I paid 100k+ for a system that she never gave any updates on the batteries and is unreachable when you do call her. Failing to reach marie we contacted the office who gave us Evon, who stopped replying at 4:30pm without actually solving our issues in the slightest. The initial individual we worked with Calvin moved to a different company. The only one individual who ever showed any concern to assist us, Dustin, is now apparently unreachable.Poor company, if i could go back i would avoid them in the entirety.

I had a technical question about my Airco 2,8 heatpump. I was referred to Frikkie the tecnical guy. He promised to come back to me and will answer my email also. Today 3 days later i left a message via Jacques for Frikkie. I. need an answer urgently. Still waiting. Very disappointed.

I have had 2 “emergencies” where my geyser has stopped working. On both occasions I tried their 24 hour emergency number, with no answer. No call back either. Both times I had to organise another plumber to come and assist me. False advertising to have a 24hr emergency contact number

The rating remains low because of my experience and Sampie the owner has resolved the issue the moment he became aware of it.I am convinced that if I dealt with the owner from the beginning the rating would have been totally different.

I have been trying to purchase a product from Nu Power for a week. Their sales rep does not return calls and the web site is broken. There are a lot of small business trying to make ends meet in the solar market. I hope this one doesn’t.

NO COMMUNICATION. NO SERVICE DELIVERY!!! Don’t know what I spent R135k for when no one is willing to help me and get back to me. They collected my battery 8 weeks ago, still don’t have a new one. No one ever calls me or replies to my msgs. I always call them.

6 Months in and still very impressed wit the service and the quality of the products supplied..... I'm saving up for an extra battery and 6 more panels :)

Useless after sales service from Calvin and Frikkie. Full of promises, but they are not sorting our problem. Spent over R200k on our system. Our Inverter (Victron - nogal) has been giving us problems. If you phone Calvin he promises to get a person Frikkie to assist. Frikkie does not answer whatsapp or calls. Really cannot believe that Nu Power cannot deal with issues of this nature and sort out brand damaging individuals. I will definitely not recommend them. It has been 6 months with issues and even still no COC certificate. Sorry, but I have list faith in their brand. Such a pity as we thought we chose the right team to do such an expensive installation

Not recommended at all. After service extremely poor. Still have a faulty Inverter and no COC. It is 6 months later. They simply do not take complaints serious.
