What a fabulous restaurant! Set inside the most amazing Exclusive Books store. Decor beautiful.Extensive menu and something for everyone. Steaks were amazing.They have the most incredible cake and cheese-cake selection.Can't wait to go try their breakfasts.Definitely recommend and well worth a visit

The place is quite busy so I would recommend you make a reservation as opposed to just walking in. We had to wait for about 20min for a table and it was definitely worth the wait! The food was scrumptious and the service was top notch!! I loved the book store (well I love reading) which gave the restaurant part to have some sort of hidden gem (you have to walk through the bookstore to get to the restaurant).I had the lamb shank which was so tender and off the bone, my friend had pasta and the other had a chicken meal whose name I cannot remember. Their mimosas were to die for, I highly recommend!

I normally enjoy my meals at O&P but the dinner I had last night was extremely disappointing. We ordered the fried chicken burger which was fine. We also ordered a medium rib-eye but when it came it was almost well done and so tough to cut through. The manager did make an effort to replace it but the second rib eye was more medium rare, but somehow still very tough to cut through and chew. It seems that the quality of the beef was poor, which is extremely disappointing since the steak was >R300.I really hope management takes this feedback seriously because I’m now doubtful about the consistency of their food quality vs price.

Really nice place. So different, it in the bookstore so you have to walk through exclusive books to get there. The decor is immaculate. The food was also really good. Their mash with carrot is so different and so tasty.

Lovely ambience, amazing food. I recommend their salmon poké bowl. The service has always been amazing for me. Their wine menu is a bit overpriced in my opinion but the selection is quite good.

Olives and Plates Hyde Park
Nestled in the back of the bookstore is this beautiful restaurant. A contemporary classically styled interior with pink details and pendant lights dripping from the high ceiling. The food is always so beautifully presented. It’s as if the ingredients are kept in pristine jars until they make their debut on your stage. Flawless. An entire wall is lined with tall thick glass windows that are opened slightly on warm days to let the breeze in and cool an interior that is warmed by the sun. What a charming, elegant and pretty experience. The fresh juices, breakfasts, salads and lunch meals are a win.

Absolutely the best tasting breakfast I've ever had. Even though it was the usual bacon, eggs, sausage, the taste was extraordinary. Other food was also superb. Great service too.
