The Rustic Yard
The atmosphere and the view were absolutely breathtaking. I loved the rustic feel and the Book Trading Post concept. The staff were very friendly but the service wasn’t as good. The food was okay. The Alfredo was a bit bland. The Chicken and Prawn curry was flavourless, the sauce was a bit too watered down. But the omelette was rather good.

Beautiful spot tucked away around the corner at a stop close by to Port Edward. If you’re looking for a place to stop at, I would recommend this place. We had pretty good Chicken Mayo sandwiches. Plus the Staff were super friendly :)

From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and important. The service was friendly, efficient and our server was attentive to our needs throughout the course of our visit! The food was fresh, tasty and adequate! All round an incredibly positive experience. We will be back!

So glad to be recommended to the Rustic Yard for our breakfast.Delicious food and amazingly speedy service. We were shocked how quickly it all turned up.The decor here is brilliant too, and even on a very very hot and muggy day we felt cool. The view of the dam is relaxing and we were entertained by 2 ducks fighting for their territory! Hope they were ok afterwards, they went on for ages!Staff were friendly and helpful too.

One of the best places to go for the most delicious toasted sandwiches! It is in such a pretty setting too, overlooking a dam. Very peaceful place for some food. The staff are all very nice and very professional. One of my favourite places to go and eat on The Southcoast!

Very quick and efficient service and the food was excellent. Very surprised with the quality of the food. Well worth it, would choose this place over mac Banna anytime

This comes Highly recommended.Just had the cheese burger... its the best burger in about 1000kmSeriously good service.The food is amazing and the environment is completely different... so relaxing.Don't leave without eating the carrots cake and cheese cake.The great thing is its amazing for kids and your 4 legged kids.Our waiter is Sappi5 out of 5 for everything.

What a beautiful eat out with excellent service and views. They even accommodated our little pets which we appreciated greatly. The food was absolutely delicious, freshly prepared and not too badly priced either. The next time we are out at Port Edward, I will be sure to visit the Rustic Yard. Highly recommended.

The Rustic YardSuch a pleasant, rustic decor. Warm and welcoming servers. Perched high above the lake, the view is delightful.The seafood pasta was absolutely delicious. As were the burgers and fish.Clean, simple and no fuss food. Good place to go with family and small children.

In the busy Mac Banana you will find this tranquil little place that boasts dam views, rustic furniture and excellent food. You may have to wait for your order but as they say good food takes time to prepare.
