Absolutely awesome experience! My hairdresser was Candis and wow one could feel the care going into ones style and need, definitely can agree the staff are well trained and experienced. Packed into the bundle is a full wash to cut spectrum, dry and style! You name it. Located in the heart of Kyalami corner right next to PnP clothing.The facility has a lounge area for guests of clients and great attention to decor! Overall needs were listened to and done with care!Clean, safe, stylish and attention to detail!

Absolutely dreadful.about 2 years ago i went in to get my hair cut into a short wolfcut, let me just tell you that is not what i got. i showed the girl that cut my hair a photo of what i wanted and she didn't follow it at all and when my hair dried i looked like a pom pom. a few days ago i went in to get my hair dyed at the same place to maybe give them a second chance. i got a peak aboo and it was nice until the day after. i woke up and my neck was blue, i had a shower, dried my hair, went to bed and yet again my neck was blue. when i run my fingers through the dyed part of my hair my fingers turn blue, my nails are stained blue from playing with my hair and im so unsatisfied.if the price was cheap i would understand why my hair is doing this but the price was not cheap. it was R2700 which is unbelievable. i won't be coming back.

I received the service and end result that I wanted; not many places can give you this. The ladies at the basins don't use excessive force when washing your hair and the temperature of the water is just great. The stylists are well trained and very friendly. I can recommend them anytime.

Had a little ‘kerfuffle’ with my first visit at The Federation but the stylist’s professionalism and skill during the second appointment, along with the way they handled the situation really shows how this is a 5 star hair salon.Communication with management was very smooth and quick, allowing me to book a ‘make-up’ appointment the very next day with NO extra cost. The appointment itself was extremely pleasant, with the stylist fixing any issues I had before, making an otherwise daunting experience quite pleasant.Special mention to Chantel for making this so easy and pleasant and for just being such a genuine soul in general :) truly an asset to The Federation.Overall, very happy with my new hairstyle and definitely will be coming back.The rectified kerfuffle in question, below:“I had a perm done but the end result is not what I had envisioned. I showed the stylist a photo of what I was looking for (textured wavey look), and whilst I know it won't look 100% alike, I still think it was a bit of a miss. I think the perm rods used were a bit too tight, producing curls, rather than a wave. Additionally she missed major parts of my hair that I wished to be permed. Now I have to come back and have those areas done for an additional cost. I hope this doesn't have to be the case.”

Chantelle Smith does amazing haircuts. I have been a client for several years and am always happy. The ladies washing the hair also do an amazing head massage. Definitely recommend having your hair done at the Federation in Kyalami

The hairdressers are extremely professional and very talented. It's very easy to make a booking online as you can choose your hairdresser and view their dairies. I have done a normal wash and set and then a wash, treatment, cut and set and on both occasions I was extremely pleased. My hairdresser is Chantal and in both occasions she did exactly what I wanted. The salon has also partnered with the Woolies Barista Team so you can pre order your coffee as well. The federation goes over and beyond. I will highly recommend this salon if you are looking for a luxury experience.

Took my disabled daughter for a cut and treatment. It was such a great experience. The staff went out of their way to make her feel comfortable. And the resulting product was stunning!
