The most incredible local pub. Friendly people and the nicest staff. I had long chats with the staff, Lizzy and Karla the most, and they were so open and true, no fake friendliness, only genuine equal to equal conversations. If I lived closer I would spend all my time here.The food is also incredible and very well priced. Would definitely recommend the sweet and sour pork and the beef burger and chips (the 2 dishes I have ordered so far)It is the perfect place for tourists who want to see the local culture, and for South African to share in this local community.In a time of loadshedding, government uncertainty and overall uncertainty of the future of this country, its places like this that remind me of what it means to be a South African. #ProudlySouthAfrican

We had 2 of these chicken and calamari strip combos and between 3 adults we didn’t finish it. R75 per portion.Food is delicious.

Waiter was extremely friendly and helpful, food was served quickly and it was delicious. I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu with cheese sauce and chips. The best cheesy garlic sauce I've had in my life. My husband had the 300g rump steak with chips and a pepper sauce. Also very tasty. The vibe next door was a bit rowdy in the bar as there were people doing karaoke, but we were seated in the restaurant area which was very cozy. Definitely enjoyed our meal and visit. Prices for the food was very reasonable.

Real locals and real food. If you looking for a budget friendly, super casual place to eat and have a few drinks, this is the place. Pub and smokers area one side, casual eating other side. Daily specials are tasty and portions size, excellent. Also has a few outside tables. The place can become rather lively and load on rugby days, so if you want somewhere quiet and romantic, don't go here. However, great atmosphere and camaraderie for those looking for a party atmosphere.

Typical pub atmosphere. Loud, noisy and fun. I had the rib basket which was delicious and affordable @ R75. The middle pot and squid heads were not great. Stick to pub grub and you'll have a great time. It's a local institute, but definitely not fine dining.

Stopped in for a spur-of-the-moment lunch break. We had the bacon burger and chips special. The burger patties were obviously home made and very tasty. My son had a milkshake which was great. A really delicious lunch, great service and reasonably priced too.

Nice rustic atmosphere. Some outside seating and indoor. Good portion size for the money spend. Wine is being served in big wine glasses with ice cubes. Pet-friendly as well friendly service and good was prepared quickly.

We had a lovely family meal at Die Taphuis. The seafood platter for 2 was an absolute winner. Absolutely delicious. The staff were also very friendly. A very nice relaxing and homely atmosphere with some interesting posters/artwork which added to the relaxed atmosphere.

I have to start with saying that they have the best Mussel pot I've ever had, it was absolutely delicious. A cosy atmosphere with great service. The staff went above and beyond for us so for that I would definitely recommend this place. Great food and great service what more could you ask for.
