A bit rough around the edges, but its a lovely place for a simple outdoor day with family and friends. They offer a variety of activities. Their restaurant serves simple but amazing food with a full bar. However, you are allowed to bring own food and braai stand. For our water activity we were assisted by a really nice gentleman by the name Loyd. Their entrance fee is a bit steep at R150 pp (excluding all activities).

Perfect paradise hidden outside Henley. Absolutely peaceful, with excellent facilities kept in perfect condition. The on-premises coffeeshop serves delicious food from a young but exciting chef.

Entrance is expensive for such a run down place. It was once beautiful, the water level has risen, but the umbrellas, and surrounding features have just been left to rot in the water.

Fun day out for the whole family. Very busy, we got their super early and it was packed already. Didn't have electricity in our Lapa but they came out and fixed it quickly, very helpful staff and management. Bathrooms kept clean throughout the day. Resturant on site and they have vegan options on the menu.

Peace, tranquillity and a sigh of relief is what this place entails. The sound of nature just puts you at ease. This place just helps you forget about your stresses and problems. The water is beautiful, trust me. There are braai areas and lapas to relax in. The toilets are clean. Oh yeah and you can rent a boat for a few hours or the whole day to make your experience worth while. I would recommend that you visit this place every month for peace of mind. Definitely revisiting soon.

Overpriced entry.Activities are expensive.It was flooded and the staff gave no options and insisted we just walk through the mud.We phoned earlier in the day and the employee that answered the phone just said to go to the website.The website gives no pricing.Not worth itSpend your money on something you actually want

Manager Michael was extremely helpful and went our of his way to ensure we were comfortable and accommodated today and we are eternally grateful for that. All in all we had an awesome day snorkeling and swimming and highly recommend basslake for a fun family day out
