Payment deducted twice and won't refund with the reason that my parcel was not labelled as a document so they assumed 1kg weight. My invoices and notifications clearly show it was a document - no paper document weighs 1kg. It has been a week of back and forth emailing with no solution in sight.

My experience with UPS, time and time again has been awful. I have never experienced such incompetence, inefficiency and above all blatant disregard for the customer. Not to mention holding the customer ransom to “unpaid charges” despite proof of payment and acknowledgement of said payment only for the driver to arrive with the same invoice and not releasing the package because its “unpaid”. Its been one of the worst customer service journeys of my life. Your customer service staff are ill equipped to handle anything other than what it shows on the system. Your tracking website is never accurate nor up to date. And your commitments to deliveries is shocking, promising delivery before a certain time and then updating to say cant deliver with an incorrect error code. As a company and in my individual capacity I will never be using your company again. Although I am sure whoever is reading this on the other side will likely disregard this email in any case.

Ordered and paid for something via Alibaba from China, I was concerned that I might not get the parcel. UPS person phoned me on a Saturday informing me about duties and asked for an email address. I paid the outstanding amount on Monday (via PayGate), the next day I received my parcel in full. Bar the import duties (which I expected for any imported product), it was akin to any local courier service. Fast and efficient.

Good service and they answer all my calls immediately. Customs is also quick. They wont reach out to you if there are any problems (other than indicating it on the tracking history, so keep an eye on that) but solve the problems when you contact them.

This company runs its business like a scam. Their high international shipping fees (R1,250 to ship a 200 gram part from Germany to Cape Town) does not include predictable fee's for getting the shipment through customs. Their website says brokerage fees are charged in 'complex' clearance procedures but this was just a standard international shipment, they just abuse their position to throw all kinds of additional fee's at you once they have your package. Their delivery estimates are also a joke and detached from all reality. If you're thinking of using them and just started reading the mountain of 1 star reviews, run away or bend over, the reviews are all true.

Phone keep ringing at the Montague gardens branch, UPS service is the worst ever!!! Not sure how many tea breaks they take in a day.If you want professional service then DHL is the best.....

Failed to deliver my goods when they were supposed to. Calling them doesn't help as they put you on hold and hang up. When you do get to speak to someone they lie to you about delivery dates. I still have not received my goods. Never use this company again. They have the worst customer service.

Do not use UPS. They have hidden costs on top of hidden costs. They first give you a fairly normal looking bill, then only after sending it out of country do they tell you you need to pay 4x the initial amount additionally to ship it further. It takes them 4 weeks to go in circles among their own teams to figure out something simple like ... why you got the additional bill and get contradicting answers. Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely atrocious service. Avoid this company at all cost. Friends in the UK sent me some shirts as gifts. UPS wouldn’t release the goods. They say I need an importers code for items worth more than R150 000. I provided them with the tax invoice that showed the items minus shipping are worth $57.90.I constantly have to phone them, they don’t respond to emails. I also suspect some fraudulent activity within UPS as they try to make money from you. There’s something seriously wrong with this company at the moment. It’s a shame.

Absolutely disgraceful service! We would give minus 5 stars if possible! Continuously ask for paperwork that has already been sent in the meantime delaying our now exceptionally urgent delivery! So many follow ups with absolutely no feedback or progress!
