Really great gym. Spacious, clean and everything is brand new. The equipment is all extremely high quality. A much better experience than some other massive gym chains. I highly recommend to anyone that wants to get in shape.

This is by far the worse gym I have been to. Number 1 They don't have a generator, they always say that they are working on it but almost a year later nothing. Number 2 They have not opened then sauna the previous excuse was lifted but after that was lifted they still not has opened it because by sheer magic it is broken how convenient. Thirdly The service is terrible the people in the front have such an attitude, they also charge 150 for a new card if lost. They only communicate when its time to [pay up but they fail to serve they clients with quality. Once my contract is up im gone. If I were yall I wouldnt sign up

Great gym if only they made a plan for loadshedding and maintained their equipment.Gym will not be open before 6am when there is loadshedding. Little to no plan has been made for lighting, so if you sign up, bring earphones and a torch.

In summary:-Weight section smells of body odour due to no ventilation.-None of the gym members use towels on any equipment.-No lighting during loadshedding, leave or face severe injury.-Many broken machines and missing equipment such as cables & ropes.-Machines stay broken for months, cable ropes have been missing for over a year now.-Steamroom and Sauna have been out of use since 2020, 3 years later and still nothing.-Cleaning staff will quite literally come and hit you with a vacuum cleaner mid workout, very rude.-Gym Staff don't have a care in the world about gym members and are quite rude, similar to visiting a police station.They don't care for their paying members, yet take utmost care when showing this gym" to potential clients.Would not recommend at all."

A lot of people have complained about the gym closing down during load shedding, but still nothing has been done. The entire mall has lights during load shedding, but not Ignite. The aircons dont work half the time. The equipment is constantly breaking down with weeks delay until they fix it. The only upside to this gym is that during peak hours its still possible to get in a decent workout, because many members have left for other gyms.

I feel like the below reviews says it all. When I joined your Rosebank branch, ignite was sold to me as a “superior” gym. When Rosebank became challenging for me to travel to I decided to go with a national membership and use your Ferndale facility. What a waste of time this was. Could’ve used the extra cash to take that extra 15 minutes drive to Rosebank. Today I left the gym after 15 minutes since going was a complete waste of time. Every day another machine is either out of order or missing pins or about to be on the “out of order” list. I feel sorry for the clients who have paid for only this gym and are limited to what they can do. You go to the bathrooms, sauna, steam room showers, out of order. Even the scale doesn’t work. This gym damages the name of Ignite fitness.

The gym is beautiful and has a variety of equipment but the equipment isn't serviced. Therefore, you cannot train well with some of it, in addition to that there is the loadshedding issue - other gyms have opted for generators to operate during loadshedding but they (ignite) have to close when there is loadshedding which affects our progress.

Do not waste your money joining this gym. Everything's always broken.. we sign to use the facilities, with the promise of steam rooms and saunas.. a year in, nothing is fixed. They will promise you the world but dont care once you have signed.Load shedding? May as well turn around and do pushups at home. No lighting or any concern for their customers.

Their employees do not make the contract available to you before or after joining the gym . Having money deducted from my account even after the contract is over, apparently it becomes a month to month contract which is new news to me. And they state they have sent me my contract which has never happened. Why is cancelling membership made impossible at this gym. To make matters worse there are no employees to help or assist when you are actually in the gym. The machines don’t work during LoadShedding and some of the advertised services are not even available or offered. Highly disappointed and angry at this service.
