I would not recommend doing any business with RAK.Their agent and staff in accounts were very friendly and attentive, however their business practice is not on board with standard practice and is unethical. NEVER send a deposit without a lease, this is also publicly advertise on Property24 and Private Property. I was refused any kind of surety or confirmation, all of which was very reasonable. I was just told to send the money. When I disputed and pushed my Approved application was changed to Denied.Very dodgy and disappointingPlease everyone, educate yourself on proper practice and ensure you are protected in all interactions. No company is allowed to enter you into a Legal Binding Contract (Lease Agreement) without FIRST making the terms of that contract known to you.I was promised a Templet Lease which also never came. An Application DOES NOT protect you in anyway.I did also make them aware that I would be sharing my concerns here and why. There was no responseA very disappointing experience but I am grateful it did not go forward as I am sure, there would have been other irregularitiesPS. No other Rental Agencies ask for full deposit before lease, only the the lease fee

An amazing business with staff that literally go the extra kilometer. The team at RAK prides themselves with service and communication. Both renters and rentees are in agreement on this one. This business maintains optimal standards at all times as management and staff keep up to date on the latest trends, legislation and economic indicators to ensure excellence on all levels.

Completed an application for an agent (Thandeka) to contact me via property 24.Yesterday morning she mailed me asking a few questions,i responded immediately.Its now 24 hours later and ive heard nothing from her or the principal.I followed up a few times and still nothing.....She finally mails me back confirmingba meeting at 2pm but she cannot tell me where ,i could be an hour away or 2 minutes away.... how are we supposed to schedule our days when we dont know where we are going.... 2pm we were to meet its now 2pm and no one contacted me ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC they dont even deserve a 1 star

This rental agency has to be one of the worst rental agencies I have ever had the misfortune of having to rent a unit through.While living under their management they hide costs which aren’t on the lease stated as cost items, you get a bill which then even includes the owners levies to be paid over the rent. They increase your rent and they don’t tell you.Furthermore, they don’t tend to issues and you have to beg for them to help fix problems in the unit. I had black mould in the walls for months.My car was vandalised on the complex and my clothes were stolen by the neighbour. I caught the neighbour wearing the clothes- the rental agency said that I live and “park at my own risk”.Don’t waste your time

Worst agency ever, saw water marks on the ceiling and suspected a geyser burst,emailed to the agent,no reply what so ever, now today at midnight, the geyser completely bursted, water pouring from the ceiling. Most useless agent ever.

Had the misfortune of dealing with one of the Agents Hendrik. The property was advertised for R8750 then taken down and re advertised for R11000. That alone tells me someone did not do their homework properly. Yet I still showed interest in the property. Tried getting hold of him since last week to know what the status is, yet he doesn’t take my calls or reply to messages.

My refund papers was sent in on the 15th of May, papers were all in order.I had to ask for my refund on the 19th of June.I was charged almost R400 for a cupboard handle that was broken(needed a nut for tightening) when it was like that when i moved in.They said my refund could not be made because my paper work was outstanding.Please do better next time.
