What an amazing experience accommodation is picture perfect

Beautiful accommodation, real history and family feel.Pet friendly but a couple of very protective german sheppards at our kitchen door that are not safe to take your dog or child near.Felt very nervous about that.The owners were very kind and welcoming. They helped a lot.Pity about the hectic fly problem, the loft bedroom was completely uninhabitable so we had to sleep on the couch and downstairs which are not in good condition.Putting a couple traps up would have helped.Otherwise fantastic pet friendly place and showers were great.

We travelled for business and needed a quiet warm base from which to see our clients on the West Coast. We were comfortable and well looked after! You'll see us again.

Hear the sound of the blue gum trees and variety of birds. Come feel at home, at peace surrounded with horses. Every room is uniquely furnished with its own old-style look. Go for a walk in the bush pathways and inhale the fresh air. Here you can rest and recover well. Rooms are equipped, kitchen has all you need to bring is your own food and wood to braai outside.

Attended a wedding there, food was amazing, venue was nicely setup, staff and owners excellent nice and friendly hospitality only thing is the one pole of our tent gave in to the entrance of tent but no train smash, breakfast was very nice aswell, well done guys keep it up, enjoyed myself a lot. Thank you once again may your business grow from strength to strength.

My stay at Schaftplaas went beyond all my expectations. Alet the owner of the farm made us feel very welcome and everything felt like a warm hug on a cold and rainy day. The accommodation is modern and meticulously clean yet filled with old-world character and the attention to detail is evident in their farm style cottages. It is really close to Cape Town and easy to get to. This place is the perfect breakaway for the hustle and bustle of the city and the tranquility of the place is addictive. Best value for money! Will definitely be visiting again.
