Lily’s Asian Kitchen - Sun CitySuch a pretty place right in Sun City. This place does Chinese as well as Thai food. Like the name says, it is an Asian Kitchen. We were not all that hungry and dropped in for a snack. The service was so quick … Despite not being hungry, we wolfed down all that we had ordered. Delicious and decent servings. Good clean restaurant … tastefully decorated.

This is an Asian experience on whole new level, the decor is absolutely stunning, the colour, the Asian theme & lighting is breathtaking, the seating is for fine dining, you get separate cubical with soft seats and curtain you can close or you can have separate dining rooms, exquisitly decorated and obsessively cleaned. They have surprisingly good collection of wine and the food is authentic Asian cuisine. The outside is just as beautiful, you get the views of the surrounding mountains and sweet birds songs. Nothing gets better than this.

Great service, quite a number of us went for dinner and the turnover time was quick. The staff were warm and helpful. The food was amazing. Every dish flavorful. We all decided to share and the turning wheel on the table made it efficient...it was like a sitted buffet. Great experience

My reviews are based on the following criteria, food taste, portion size, how hungry I was, value for money and service.I ordered from Lilly's Asian kitchen takeaway menu which is primarily comprised of noodle and rice dishes. I ordered the chicken fried rice, chicken noodles and beef noodles. All 3 meals were bland and were not seasoned well. I understand seasoning is personal preference, so I would have liked soy sauce to be included on the side for this takeaway dish.I was not very hungry and enjoyed the way the chicken, beef, noodles and rice was prepared (it was tender and juicy and rice was perfectly cooked).The portion sizes were big and I was full after my chicken fried rice meal.All in all, service gets 4/5, portion 5/5, taste 2/5 (which could be a 4/5 if soy sauce was added with the meal) and value for money 5/5, which results in my overall rating of 3/5.

(I hope this isn’t an repeat)Ate there tonight. This place was called Lily’s, but just taken over by new management. They seem part of an established chain, so should know better!It’s only bad Chinese and not general “Asian”.Food was generally very poor, with a single course taking over 30 minutes to come, from first dish to last, meaning half our group had finished eating before some meals had arrived.We spoke with the manager and asked for a reduction so we could give his waitress, who was blameless, her tip but he didn’t.Poor food and poor local employer. Much better places to eat at this resort.We have fed back to the concierge at The Palace that they should stop directing people there (not that they recommended it to us).

Now called Lily Asian Kitchen.Indoor (normal tables and private booths) limited outdoor seatingMai Thai cocktail - highly recommended. Phad Thai was the best I ever had. Lamb curry was absolutely Thai - as ginger as it could be.Fried banana and cream was delish.
