AVON SA - Boss Lady Ellen

I had a full set of Acrylic nails applied by their technician in September 2020 who did a very poor job. 4 Days after the application the nails started lifting, the thumb nail even fell off and I had to have it replaced at my own cost. As I was told that it would last for 6 weeks I was naturally very disappointed. I took pictures of the nails which automatically recorded the date and time. As I was in Cape Town at the time I was unable to get in touch to show them how my nails were deteriorating as the days went by. When I returned home I immediately went to the salon to speak with the technician and the owner, Ellen, who said it wasn't possible as she had had the same application done. I told her that I was not happy with her service and products and expected a call once she had decided what cause of action she would take that would be satisfactory, as she offered to do only the exact same application over again. Which naturally I saw no point in. When Ellen called me she could only offer me a free pedicure which I have no interest in. I told her that I wanted a full refund so that I could have my nails done at another salon. She refused and eventually said that she would only be prepared to pay a small portion back. I told her that I would think about it. I tried calling the salon several times but never received a reply. I went on her website to get an email address and sent her an email accepting the little she was prepared to give back. After no response I sent several follow-up emails and to date have received no reply. I have tried to avoid going public to post such a poor review by continuing to call the salon, but I feel that I have really been treated wrongfully and without a second thought after ONE lame attempt by Ellen to pay back a few pennies. She never once apologised for the bad service or the inconvenience caused to me.
