The timber home welcomes one with warmth and mystery, leading you from room to room to discover more about this amazing hideaway in the forest. Erna Fourie is a fascinating, beautiful and authentic person. She will envelop you with her peace and grace. Come here to heal and rest... This place is like balm for the soul.

Prior to inter provincial travel once again being permitted, we decided to take a chance and book a road trip for the family through the Western Cape and Garden Route. December 25 to 28 would be spent in Nature's Valley, an area I have always wanted to explore. We booked these dates at Nature's Valley Health Retreat through Lekkeslaap and once they confirmed that we could be accommodated, we went ahead and paid the deposit. Today I received a call saying the Retreat could no longer honour this booking as they had overbooked and we would need to be bumped off the list in order to accommodate another booking who also paid their deposit. I am so very disappointed as the reviews we read were so wonderful. So although this little piece of heaven may well be incredible, we will never know. I sincerely hope to have my full deposit refunded but more so, that we'll be able to find some other beautiful spot in Nature's Valley to spend 3 days over Christmas!
