2factors made our trip most memorable1)The most beautiful place ever, exceeded every expectation. The animals is exactly what kids need.It was so peaceful and awesome with a spectacular view especially night with sky full of stars over us.2)Alison is the most gracious host and we were blown away by wonderful hospitality and really made the stay a great one.cant wait to go back

As soon as we arrived at this farm we were blown away by the wonderful hospitality of Alison (Ali) and her husband. The place itself is a haven of tranquility and a must go to for any travellers in the area. It's charm and appeal apply equally to adults and children with a range of activities available if you want to try them.Pony camps are regularly arranged for children and these will undoubtedly be amazing for children with a love and passion for horses and a whole range of farm animals that are cared for like pets by Ali.We were very sorry to leave after two lovely days but we will be back! Highly recommended.

The guest farm has little to no safety\ security and is a concern as we felt unsafe. Access to the farm is challenging. We left a fair comment on the booking site, then received an unprofessional message from the owner, which is disappointing.

Thanks for a great (the best )week-end getaway. What a wonderful place. Perhaps a secret gem that more people should know about.Ali the owners is a wonderful kind person who loves animals and life, made us feel so welcome. ThanksThe house was well catered and peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. The surrounding are nature at it best. The horses and the trail out ride was great my son Dylan enjoyed every minute.We will be back ,thanks for making us feel like family.This is an ideal place to relax and enjoy farm life or country life ,peacefully.ThanksDave and Bella and Dylan

Most amazing experience with fantastic hosts. Greeted at the gate by Alison and taking down to a hidden oasis. Teepee was super. Horse riding, hiking and cycling galore. And had a full tech detox listening to the babbling river and taking in the animals, and nature, and unique Indian artifacts. Area has a great history and we watched the monkeys while they watched us. You will never want to leave. Thank you to Alison for your special care and to Danie for the history lessons. We will be back.

Lydenrust is an idyllic and nurturing little place. I loved the rustic-looking, yet clean and elegant cottages, the myriad of friendly animals and waking up to look at the view of the most magnificent mountains! Truly a place to unwind and slow down with our hectic lives.

Lydenrust Farm
This place is absolutely lovely. Stunning views of the mountains, nice and clean self-catering and pet-friendly accommodations, and super friendly staff. I had a very relaxing stay, fun interactions with farm animals every day and enjoyed going on horse trails up the hills for the views or down to the dam for a swim with the horses. Definitely recommend it !
