This was the highlight for me you must walk up the hill to see the extent of the battlefield. Could not believe how many people died here. When you stand on the hill and look around it is a huge battlefield and when you see all the piles of white rocks.

This is a bucketlist visit if you are interested in the history. It's were the biggest defeat of the British in Africa took place. The camp was overturned by more than 20,000 Zulu's. Hundreds of whitewashed stone cairns mark the graves of the troops.Take your time here. Walk around the area, and if you can, walk up the little koppie to get a panoramic view of the magnitude of the battlefield. Just being there will affect you in one way or the other.There is a small fee payable at the museum before you can enter the actual battlefield.
