Valerie Avenue Park
This small but lovely park in the heart of suburbia is a favourite with dog-walkers, and indeed, with dogs. It has more than enough space for ball-throwing and fetching, and is well maintained by the Joburg Parks Department. The park is well frequented and there is even a “pooch pub” with a drinking bowl for canine friends.

Lovely little park to walk your dogs. The gate closes so bigger dogs can't get out. The local community are very friendly and put out water bowls to keep the doggies hydrated. The park is squeaky clean and local security companies lock and unlock the gates and night and in the mornings.

Great enclosed park, bigger than expected. Take a blanket with for a chill spot under the tree as there are not many benches, the lawn was also a bit long. Very clean, no litter around. There is a little play park if you bring the kiddos. There is no fee, and is easy to access. Just ensure you leave the gate closed at all times, and be mindful some doggies may come to the gate when you arrive so be careful not to let any slip out. Really great park, sweet so see all the dogs play together.

My Dogs favorite place. Leash free park. Fully fenced off from the street. Do not bring your Dog if they are not well socialized. You and your Dog will be chased away if your dog is not behaving well.

Very nice, dog friendly park to let one's dog socialise with other dogs. Please bring water, to help the timely visitors keep the water buckets full for all the dogs

What a fantastic dog park. It’s clean. Big enough for even the biggest, fastest, fittest doggies. There are plenty trees for shade for you and your pooch. Jungle gyms for the kiddies to play. The park is safe enough to let your dogs roam around without the worry of them getting out the perimeter. There are bowls for water, that some kind people left. I will definitely be going there again very soon.

Very nice park to walk dog. Dog can walk off lead as the whole park is fenced in. The other dogs and people are friendly.

Neatly kept park perfect for doglovers and their canines kids. Great old school swings and slides for kids as well.
