Sugarloaf Beach House
I am not convinced that I got the best value for money. I paid R800 for a room with no ensuite bathroom. There wasn't even a kettle to boil water with in the room. No tea/coffee material was provided in the room. I am not sure if there's wifi on site.The young ladies on site are however the best in terms of professionalism, hospitality, and welcoming. I loved the confidence of the chef. She prepares the best pizza I have ever tasted. The young lady in the bar takes the cap. She has a very rare talent of making all guests feel welcome and at home. These young ladies are the only reason I will return to Sugarloaf.

Okay where do I start? Reception was great, showed me around and made me feel home. I stayed in my tent right on the lagoon which was amazing. Love this little gem of a place. Management and owners are super helpful when one needs it most. Thanks to all the staff I love you guys! You will definitely see me again!!

Had such a lovely last in minute stay at sugar loaf, thank you Matthew, Anne and Porscha for looking after us all weekend and for all the local area info. The rondavel hut was clean and recently decorated and the location was amazing!! Fantastic food too, we ordered the line fish and chips. Want to come back already!!

Sugarloaf Beach House
Stayed there for two nights and I just wish I stayed more! Everything was perfect. The staff is very friendly and willing to help you with anything you need, the location couldn't be better just in front of the beach with stunning view and lots of places to see around the area. The room was neat and clean with beautiful decoration which made me feel like home. Thank you for everything, hope to come back someday!

Our room was a bit dirty/old bedding and there was no hot water in the evening, not in the morning. Offers wifi but wifi doesn't work on the sleeping area, and the internet connection was super slow. only one plug in the bedroom. Our lock was rusted and hard to use. People were nice but you could feel they lost the passion for the place. Also, i felt it was overpriced but it's not like there was something better in coffee bay.

We had a nice and relaxing stay at Sugarloaf. Clean Rondavel, shared bathrooms and shared kitchen. We liked the couches and hamock with a sea view a lot.The owners did not hesitate to drive me to the nearest hospital (60km distance) when I dislocated my shoulder. So thankful to you guys!!!Pizza and Burgers at the Restaurant were awesome as well!

We had the most pleasant experience at Sugarloaf backpackers. Kingsley offered the whole backpackers for us at a very decent price and gave us the best hospitality. I can definitely recommend this to anyone. The place is super clean and has great staff and service. By far my best backpacker experience yet!!!

It was just a pleasant stay there, already recommended by 2 other cyclists, as we arrived we loved the place a lot. Caring and friendly people working there. Made us feel welcome beside the place with its beautiful garden and nice corner to put up our tent. Thanks!

We stayed at Sugarloaf Backpackers for only one night, sadly. It is a beautiful hostel with a gorgeous setting with a view of the river and ocean. The staff were all incredibly friendly. We stayed in a tent with a view (and a double bed inside). The food is above average and served and presented nicely. Very atypical of most hostels. The atmosphere is really laid back, and there is a great vibe. As soon as we checked in Stacy gave us a full tour to make us feel welcome. I wish we had planned to stay longer on our travels.
