Nabua Thai Massage

Called yesterday to make an appointment for a 90 mim massage, only to arrive and be told I was booked for 60 minutes and they were fully booked, so no chance of extending it. I obviously did not stay for the 60 minute because (a) one books 90 minutes for a reason and (b) how would I enjoy the massage after such disappointment. Was asked if I'm sure I booked 90 min because they've booked all the therapists for 60 min treatments only. Also asked when I booked, with the hope I might have booked so long ago that I was mistaken. Very disappointed as I love the massages, but certainly not to get over the tension I felt about my booking error. This could have been avoided if sms booking confirmation was sent, since they take our numbers.

The massages here used to be really good, but the last 2 times I have been, they were absolutely horrible. Worst massage experience I’ve ever had. The masseuse didn’t listen to my request, his phone was ringing during the massage, he started burping during the massage, you could tell he didn’t want to be there and he clearly didn’t enjoy his job. This was far from a peaceful or enjoyable massage!

Best value massage in Cape Town, super consistent over the past 5 years.

Nim is the best therapist there. I book her regularly. Some 6 the others are fairly mediocre and don't apply enough iressure or do enough if the traditional Thai stretches which I enjoy so much. I've heard Tina is also good but have yet to try her.

I loved the place. It was my first time going for a massage and I had a great experience. The masseuse was gentle and really worked on my body. I felt my bones crack and some tension being released. Some part of my body that were sore feel much better. Really therapeutic and relaxing

Nabua is an idyllic gem, hidden away from the hustle and bustle from the Waterfront. Surrounded by historical buildings and cobblestone roads in a courtyard like setup. It feels like you’re transformed to the streets of Europe.Highly recommended therapists is, See and Ratri. When going for a Thai massage, ask for a Thai Oil massage, it just makes it easier on your skin. Speak to them, tell them of they press to hard or too soft.Between all the physios, chiro’s and Accupuncturists I’ve been to Thai therapists still sorts me out the best. I’d much rather pay for an effective and efficient result than having to pay any physio and not feel a difference when you walk out there practice. Nabua also has packages where the current price is R1500 for 5, instead of R450 for a 60min massage. Nabua is open 7 days a week from 9am-9pm (they take their last appointments at 9pm.)

I give one star as I can't give zero stars. The worst massage I have ever had. The place is zero relaxing. If you go with another person, you share the room with this person. The masseuses talk to each other, the place is bright, they don't even close the curtains in the room to keep out the sunlight and you can hear the phone ringing in reception. I had a massage with a guy and I give him a zero score for the quality of the massage as you could tell he didn't want to do it. All very abrupt and without desire.

Best Thai massage ever, very authentic and good value for money. Def recomendad and will be back for sure on my next trip to Cape Town

We like the massages. But the service is extremely poor. The receptionist don't know the offerings properly. They take down the type of appointment incorrectly. They make lots of mistakes. Triple check everything before you go into your appointment! Otherwise you will be scammed!
