Lieutenant King Park Swimming Pool

The grounds is well lit and there are a few youngsters training for soccer ⚽. You don't interfere with them and visa versa. There are some swings and a sliding board for youngsters to play with and a jungle Jim.

Lt. King's swimming pool is really an amazing pool to swim in. I go there every week day and do at least 50 laps every day. The water is sparkling clean. Just a pity that the bottom of the pool needs repairing, I believe that there is not enough funds to hve same repaired. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly they are very special when it comes to really getting to know youIt is so relaxing and tranquil a place to enjoy if you feel a bit depressed. We are truly blessed to have an Olympic pool here on the Bluff!!

Went for jog last nite with my dog it was really nice experience there was some guys sitting in the corner it was bit dodgy but nothing happened..... itooks these guys stay in bushes...... anyway had a nice jog

Lt. King pool used to be a great place to swim but sadly it is no longer well maintained. The surrounding gardens are untidy and badly neglected as is the cleanliness of the pool. The walls are slimy with algae which indicates that not enough pool acid is being used. In recent years the pool was emptied on two occasions and repairs done, however I suspect the tender for repairs was awarded to the cheapest contractor who obviously did not do the job properly because when the pool was refilled (at great expense I might add) large bubbles in the new paint occurred on the floor of the pool. There was some refurbishment done in the change rooms, but the clock on the wall outside has never been repaired or replaced and the entrance is drab and outdated. Thanks to the ANC, who hold the purse strings for the Durban municipal area, and who do not feel it necessary to keep the pool in good repair despite the fact that we are forced to pay our rates and taxes but do not see any benefit for our suburb. I am very embarrassed to take any visitors there and have joined the Virgin active gym so I can swim in a clean and well maintained pool rather.

It was nice but some young boys smoking weed near other people i told to move and they moved to the back of the pool
