Guinea-fowl Guest House
A cozy getaway overnight stopover. Lovely garden and clean rooms. The owner is friendly and very hospitable. You can order breakfast for R60 which beats any restaurant breakfast in taste and size of the portions. Have been staying at Guinea-fowl every time we sleep over in Colesberg. A good experience overall.

I stayed overnight on a trip from Joburg to Cape Town. Jan said I can arrive at anytime that night and that he would be waiting. No pressure to arrive on time. He was warm and friendly and the room was clean and welcoming. The decor is a thousand years old at least and it took me back to my Oumas house hehe. When I returned from dinner at the lovely Plattelander Jan made us tea and we had a lekker kuier. The location is quiet, in a busy little dorp and I slept like a baby.Why would I stay anywhere else in the future. Thank you Mr Jan.

A lovely halfway stop over from Gauteng to the Cape. Jan is very welcoming and enjoys a chat. But if you stop make sure you don't miss the breakfast. What a meal to start your day and keep you going all day

Like visiting family, you feel instantly welcome. Surrounded by a beautiful garden with the relaxing sound of flowing water due to a stream almost next to your room window. Simple accommodation yet inviting, reminiscent of childhood memories when all was still sweet and innocent.

Frendly owner. And what a treat. Every time i visit you are welcomed by owner and offers you tea and coffee as you stop there. Clean and spacious rooms. Stunning garden. Was my 4th visit. And would go again. Recomend it to everyone

We had a wonderful stay both on the way to Cape Town and back again. The rooms are clean and neat and the host is very friendly. The area is very peaceful and just what you need after a long day of driving.

Very beautiful place, the decor has an antique styling to it. Jan is very helpful and friendly (owner). We would recommend this place if you need to stay in colesberg for a night or 2.We loved our stay and would come back any time.Dankie Jan!
