Where do I even start. This little hidden gem exceeded my expectations. My wife and I went there for a weekend a few weeks ago as little mini cost effective 'honeymoon' and it was absolutely beautiful. The owners of this establishment are so lovely and hospitable. We were instantly made to feel welcome and comfortable. If you're looking for a place where you can sit in the room all day watching TV (no TV in the rooms) and ordering room service this isn't for you. But if you want a getaway with a loved one, or with your entire family, or group of friends, where you spend time together, swim, braai and play pool. This is the place to be. They have a lovely boma, where you can braai and have a bonfire. The setting is absolutely beautiful, a garden filled with trees and vegetation, and some friendly doggies for company. The rooms are clean and so pretty and there is a wonderful open plan communal area, with a kitchen and a large seating area with a TV for all to enjoy together. We will definitely be back!

Mercia was an absolutely amazing person. Treatment was great, place was neat and clean.. Perfect for group getaways. We are definitely going back with 20 more people . Thank you so much guys!!

We had a great break for New Years Eve!!! The double room was good sized and well furnished. The hospitality is awesome!! Very eclectic decor which is lovely, Well run establishment with very friendly dogs. Just don't leave your bug spray at home, there are loads of little critters in this beautiful setting. Thankful for the fans in the rooms, it gets hot. Great pool for cooling off

Dream Chasers MC had a great weekend at Red Ivory Backpackers.We booked the the venue for our bike group.Everybody enjoyed your clean and neat venue.Lovely beds,clean bathrooms and a kitchen with all the necessary accessories.Lovely communal lounge and Tv area as well.A big thanks from all our members from the Lowveld,Middelburg and Pretoria chapters.

Where do I even begin? My cousin's and I were there last week for our girls weekend away. As the organizer I was a bit nervous as I have never seen the place and only worked with pictures on the internet. Honestly I would go back and recommend it to anyone. The place is absolutely beautiful and I must say for the price you pay per night, it deserves 10 stars. We struggled a bit with network but the facilities kept us so busy we weren't bothered. The owners are so welcoming and very friendly, not once did they make us feel uncomfortable. Not once did they complain about our noise, I guess because we kept to the curfew. Pleasant stay, friendly people. So much more than expected at the price point. Already planning my next trip that way.

Had a colleagues bachelors and ended here with our pub crawling. Good music and a nice vibe.
