Dragons Landing Horse Trails & Guest Farm

My sister and I spent 2 nights in the cottage. It was situated on a hill with the most magnificent views, which was so peaceful. Although isolated from the house, we felt extremely safe. The solitude contributed to our positive experience. The sunrises were indescribable. The cottage was clean with all amenities. It is run off solar powe, so our stay was not marred by loadshedding.

We had an amazing time at Dragons Landing, thank you to Sonja for accommodating us even though we were late for our ride. Thank you to Stable Manager Aaron, for the patience and lovely ride along the plantation.

Our one night stay and 2 hour horse ride was eternally magnificent. Dragons Landing horse trails is cradled with ever loving hands, by enthralling mountains and dreamscapes of dairy, chicken and maize farms. We were received by owner Sonja Engelbrecht who made our stay exquisite. We were served the most mouthwatering dinner (very big portions) and breakfast by a very skilled local cook. Horse whisperer Aron, was our brilliant guide who gave us the most easy to follow instructions to bond and respectfully control and ride the horses. Dragons Landing horse trails is an off the grid facility with minimal use of electronic appliances, this offered us absolute peace and quiet from any electronic vibrations and sounds. Peaceful sleep, peaceful horse ride make for a heavenly overnight stay.

Sonja was absolutely amazing. Personalised our experience and was super understanding when we were running late.She greeted us with a smile and talked us through the whole day. Even though our party had a huge variety of experience everyone felt very safe but never bored.They genuinely know their horses and gave us tips when it comes to handling them (“this one likes to stop and eat” & “this one is slow on the walk but will catch up on the trot”).Would highly recommend and exceptional value for money.

We had an amazing time at Dragons Landing Guest Farm. We spent two nights at the guest house. The accommodation is beautiful with a breathtaking view. Everything was clean and we took the most amazing hot showers. Dinner and breakfast were super delicious. Thank you for taking good care of us and organizing vegan food!We did a three hours trail ride and enjoyed every minute of it. You can feel that Sonja loves her horses.Aaron was very helpful and friendly and made us feel super safe. Was an amazing ride! Aaron taught us so much on our trip. We also went through a small dam which was a great experience. Will most definitely come again. Highly recommend!!

Sonja, and the other two staff members were simply amazing, made us first time riders feel comfortable.the horses are well trained and mannered.I would definitely recommend anyone looking to explore the rolling hills to contact them.

We spent two nights at Dragons Landing Cottage and had such an incredible stay and peaceful getaway. It was great for our furbaby Lexi who loved running around. The cottage is tucked away and has such breathtaking views. It is furnished with modern finishes, is completely off grid and has the freshest water. Sonja really cares about her guests and makes you feel so welcome from the start. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be going back.

My two boys, age 11 and 13, had a lovely morning out on the farm with Aaron, the stable manager. The horses are well trained and the scenery beautiful. Definitely a must do!!

A home away from home!I haven't experienced so much peace and tranquility in a long time!If you are looking to wind down and get in touch with nature, this is it.Clean rooms, comfy beds, lovely food.It was my first time on a horse and I didn't want the experience to end.Sonja, Yoliswa and Aaron are amazing hosts.
