Leeuwspoor Wildreservaat

Had a lovely experience at Leeuwspoor Wildreservaat! We hosted our annual church spring camp there, the facilities were neat and clean and there were so many activities to choose from...hiking, swimming, rugby, soccer, volleyball. Would highly recommend it for any church camp. Easily accommodated 71 people into neat rondawels of 4 people per rondel. Thanx to Amelia and her team!

This is a very affordable holiday resort on a game farm with Chalets and camping area. Bring own bedding and towels.Ideal for small or large groups with many communal areas to prepare food and a shop for basics.No restriction on music or fun.Fishing is allowed in dam with catch and release policy.The ablutions closer to the swimming pool, looks newly renovated but it is a rough climb from the camping area.The ablutions at the camping area is very neglected and not cleaned often.But we had warm water and lights even with loadshedding due to a generator.The camping area is far from the chalets. Groups should all either camp or stay in chaltets because of this.Game drives are offered on an open vehicle with sunset views.The swimming pool area is well kept and clean. The indoor warm swimming pool has bad ventilation and becomes very stuffy.The access road from tar is bad but can be done by small cars. Do not tow a normal caravan though.

Amelia is an excellent host. The venue is well maintained and well price for a breakaway

Leuuspoor game lodge situated at the foot of the Magalieberg mountains. Accommodation cater for those who like to be self sufficient with Thatched chalets and a camp ground for those who would like to stay in a tent or overlander. Hot and cold swimming pools, games area and enough space for the avid hikers and cyclist. Treat yourself to a game drive and see who can spot the first Eland, Zebra, Nyala or Giraffe - to name a few.

Nice place for a quick week-end get away to relax.

The area is well maintained. It’s clean and good for visitors. There were about 4-6 dogs in total, but 2 active ones that always wanted to be with the guests. They were friendly here and there and minded their own business most of the timeWhat our rondavel came with:• Cupboards with plates, mugs, small bowls, cutlery and pots• Gas-powered geyser, a small liquid soap, a dishwashing cloth and a dish-wiping cloth• Electric appliances: fridge, microwave-sized oven with a 2 plate on top and a kettle• 1 double bed downstairs and 2 single beds upstairs (total: 4 people)• Wardrobe space for putting clothing (folded or hung), toiletries and shoes• Broom, mop, bucket and dustbin• Shower, bathtub, basin and toilet. The hot water was yet again though the gas-powered geyserThe rooms were dusty when we arrived and throughout our stay. The toilet paper was not replaced daily in our rondavelThe activities/areas available are: swimming pool, human foosball, hiking, swings, volleyball, put-put, trampoline, swings and a pondThe place could do so much better with the food.

Warm pool was not warm, chalets need attention, urgent need of maintenance.
