Food (especially the pizza) is absolutely amazing - somewhat worth the hefty price. The ambience and views are also lovely. The service, however, needs some attention. Just a lack of friendliness and welcoming, as well as not being very attentive to the table as they only “checked up” on us when we had to order or ask for the bill. Otherwise, would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had pizzas and salad and although pricey it was good pizza. R165 for seafood pizza is fair value. R250 for a ham and avo pizza is in comparison way overpriced. The service was a little slow. The view is great over the beach. Unfortunately camps bay main road is victim to street artists and noisy buses that go up and down the strip and the noise can be detremental to the atmosphere.I know its camps bay but why should I pay disproportionate for somethibg that has less intrinsic value. Sharpen up some of the prices and ask some of the street artists to keep the noise levels (girl ululing, guy with sax that knows 3 notes) reasonable and you will win more customers.

Today, I'm back at The Surfshack, with my family, in Camps Bay. We couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate our son's 22nd birthday. The weather is perfect. The staff has been extremely attentive and have taken very good care of us. The service is on a high level of excellence, the restaurant is beautiful and clean, and the atmosphere is extremely relaxing. Our food was phenomenal. The whole experience was very pleasant and so memorable.

Gr8 place if u looking for ambience and wind down vibes. Weather disappointed bcoz view of the beach would have been absolutely stunning. Tasty food and speedy service. Highly recommended.

Awesome place. Stopped by Camps Bay on our first day in town around Lunch time. Conveniently located if you're on the hop-on/off bus. We were completely thrilled by the beautiful Camps Bay and this restaurant was an absolute great place for Lunch. So good that it had us stop by again next day. Service, food quality, location/views, prices- all good.

Came to relax, have a few drinks, and catch the sunset. This restaurant is on the upper deck so when I came in I sat on the patio so I could get a good view of the ocean and the upcoming sunset and it was very comfortable. The owner was going through the restaurant frequently to make sure that everyone was ok and was even passing around blankets when the sun was going down and it was getting chilly.The service was great, the restaurant was very esthetically pleasing and clean - which is a bit of a must because the surrounding restaurants are gorgeous as well - and the food was well made. I had the Tomato Pizza (with the added Pepperoni) and it was so delicious! The honey-basted crust was a great twist to the pizza because it really enhanced the other flavors - absolutely a crowd-pleasing pizza. I definitely recommend this restaurant - everything was amazing, from the drinks, the view, the service, the atmosphere, and the food!

Food here was very average, as its overpriced for what you are receiving. The pizza was the best thing we ate here, the rest was average.The service was friendly and attentive.Also, it's worth mentioning, that this place has a beautiful and clean bathroom.

Beautiful location, right opposite the beach. It’s crowded so try getting a table close to the beach view. Fun vibes and food is good. More fun with a bunch of people rather than an intimate date but definitely recommend. Loved the sea food here.
