This is a little oasis! Marisca is a generous host who cooks fresh and wholesome meals, and accommodates even the most particular eaters. Gluten free, vegetarian- she didn’t bat an eyelid. PC has a tangible passion for the area and countless projects on the go - including re-introducing Hippos to the Seekoei river and a khoy-San cultural re-awakening.The log cabin we slept in was neat and clean. The beds were super comfortable and warm, it was the first time on the trip we had a selection of great pillows!The property has ample young animals running around - our kids were delighted to bottle feed lambs, catch and cuddle baby rabbits and watch the Eland and Roan antelope meandering passed.I highly recommend this as more than just an overnight N1 stop.

Amazing location with tasty traditional Karoo dishes, great rehabilitation and conservation efforts by the owner. It was very special seeing the hippo and other birds and animals!

A special setting in the Karoo near to Hanover. Only a few kilometers from the N1. Besides being the perfect stop over between Johannesburg and Cape Town, one can also spend days enjoying the numerous activities offered on the farm, i.e San history, shy 5 game drives and amazing bird watching. The true South African food is exceptionally enjoyable and PC and Mariska are the perfect hosts.

Unbelievably good. I am struggling to find words to sum up this experience. The hospitality, the tranquility, the awesome room and the food, oh my, the food. I consider myself a baboetie connoisseur and the modern take of this traditional dish was outstanding. The lamb was equally good. Having discussed the weeks menu Ireally want to stay.I wish it were not just an overnight stop. There are walks and games drives to go on too as well as up close encounters with buck and farm animals.

Welcoming hosts, delicious food with special catering for vegetarians and comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again. Thank You!

What a way to wake up in the morning.. The sound of the rooster in the distance.. The cows and sheep right next to our tent. Very nicely equipped tents as well. Neat rooms and very friendly staff. Kids enjoyed feeding the calf and the lambs. Have to go again
