My family all live in Hout Bay and when my father passed away a few months back, I spent many Friday evenings with my mother having dinner at Massimo's. I am a huge pasta fan, I eat it at any opportunity. I absolutely LOVE Massimos ravioli. I have tried it with the sage butter and with the napoletana sauce. Absolutely delicious. My mother loves the squid oink" and the salmon trout pasta. My husband always goes for a pizza and he likes to design his own which they are always happy to do. I also love the Italian 'tapas' small plates and had the meatballs and patate brave

The worse pizza experience I have ever had. I ordered my favorite pizza for delivery, which is a Quattro Stagioni. The said pizza consists of ham, mushroom, artichoke and black olives. None of these ingredients featured. Instead I received a dry and cold under baked base with shriveled baby spinach, dried mushroom's and black sauce, and for the rest of the ingredients, I have no clue.Very disappointing indeed Massimo". It felt like a slap in the face.Never!!! again will I support or recommend Massimo's.“Massimo!” Trying to justify the situation in your response is simply a futile exercise. The damage has been done

We’ve just returned back to UK from our first trip to South Africa and visited Massimo’s as it was recommended to us by a good friend. So glad we did! Massimo’s is a delightful Italian restaurant tastefully decorated with a warm vibrant atmosphere. We were treated well by all staff and managers and even got to meet the owners, Massimo & Tracy - what a lovely couple, so friendly! Couldn’t fault the service. As for the food; exceeded my expectations. We had a selection of delicious small plates to start followed by the best pizza I’ve ever tasted! I added some extra toppings and nothing was too much trouble - our waitress was really sweet. Overall a great dining experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Massimo’s to anyone visiting the area.Oh and lastly, love that you could buy a slice of pizza and pay it forward to those in need - what a great idea! ❤️

We were warmly received, and staff were willing to accommodate table switches. The pizza was delicious, especially the Francesco, which was a favorite at the table. The Squid Oink pasta also received a massive thumbs up. It's definitely a great spot for family gatherings.

A great and humble place for amazing pizzas and wonderfull staff. Not only is this a great place, they especially have a big heart and focus on community with their various programs. The #payitforward #pif pizza is just one example. We will be back tonight before I am leaving Cape Town again to go home.

Massimo's has been our go to for years for pizzas, quite a few birthday celebrations as well over the years, one of the best for pizza and beer on tap always cold.

After reading about Massimos, I expected great pizza here. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case from my experience. To me it seemed like the oven temp was too low. The cheese had hardly melted. The tomato lacked seasoning too. The base just chewy. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. Great service and ambiance though.
