Thula Baby Centre

The antenatal classes at Thula were incredible! For six weeks every couple sat riveted as we were taken through what to expect as new parents. The evenings were incredibly interesting and also allowed time for new friends to be made over tea and delicious chocolate cake! Every expectant parent should attend the Thula classes - they set you up for a powerful birth and parenting experience!On top of that is the amazing lactation, vaccination and anything baby related support that is on offer. I was able to just walk in one day when I was having a tough time and was giving tea and a curtained chair to breastfeed my baby. It was a level of support and caring that blew me away Thank you Thula for being a haven for new mums!

Alex was so great during the antenatal classes.We have really learnt a lot and feel far more at ease with the birthing and after birth process.Definitely will use Thula as a resource going forward.

The Thula Antenatal classes were recommended to us by many friends (some who did this course over 8 years ago!) and it did not disappoint.I love that the info was broken down into easily digestable chunks over the 6 weeks and Alexandra was a great course facilitator - answering all of questions patiently and with loads of knowledge and experience.Besides the sharing of knowledge, there is a real sense of community in the Thula groups, which was also why my friends recommended the course.We look forward to visiting Thula for our post natal needs soon!Thanks team!

Heather from Thula was the course facilitator of the Thula Baby prenatal classes that we attended. The Thula Baby prenatal classes are of a very high standard-very informative, extremely well researched and fun to attend. Heather uses a mixture of very well researched practical and theoretical teachings delivered with a humorous and engaging tone. Thanks for making these classes so enjoyable for us! We would highly recommend them to other couples who are approaching their parenting and prenatal journey.

Alexandra was our ante-natal class facilitator at the Mouille Point clinic. Her wealth of knowledge, calm energy and enthusiastic encouragement had us leaving each class more equipped and excited for baby to arrive. We also got to meet some of the most incredible couples that we'll definitely be keeping in touch with going forward. All new parents should do this 6week course!

Heather's antenatal classes are without a doubt the best in Cape Town and the Thula clinic is a sanctuary for new parents. Heather's guidance through the love saturated, sleep deprived and anxiety-ridden haze of early parenthood and beyond is absolutely invaluable. It is difficult to put into words what a difference her incredible knowledge and her loving, nurturing, supportive and empathetic approach makes. I couldn't recommend her and the Thula clinic highly enough.

Had my first meeting with Heather last week, and you feel so much lighter walking out of Thula Baby Centre. Her and her team are like a walking hug which all new mums, and mums-to-be need. Highly recommend you add this team to your network!

I would highly recommend this course for any first time mom. The six weeks flies by so quickly (which is a good thing towards the end of your pregnancy).The course and classes are well structured and Alexandra is a fantastic teacher. My husband and I feel much more prepared than we did at the beginning of the course.As an added bonus you get to share it with a group of great people who is experiencing all the same things as you are.
