St James Tidal Pool
Lovely tidal pool with shallow water and a nice beach area. It also has a shower and a changing room. When you're done with your little dip in the water, you can stop by at Folk Cafe for the best pizza in town and some great vibes! It's right next to the little passage leading to the tidal pool.

The St James Tidal Pool is one of many Tidal Pools along the False Bay coast and it has stunning views. Also quite close to some really awesome shops and coffee shops.The tidal pool is quite safe and perfect for a quick dip or even to practice swimming but most importantly a great way to cool down from the hot summer days

Lovely spot for a swim. Great for those who like the sea but without the waves. A few fish enjoy it too. Just watch out for the waves coming over the wall. While there are change rooms available they are a bit run down and often people will sit in them rather than on the beach.

We enjoyed a secret sunrise event on the beach. It was magical and huge fun. We finished off with a swim in the delightful tidal pool. Suitable for all ages. Lovely sea creature murals along the walkway to Muizenberg. Good for collecting shells with the kids.

St James Tidal Pool
I didn’t swim in it because the weather was cold and it was nearly dark, but it was beautiful and incredibly inviting. I can imagine how fabulous — and crowded! — it is on hot summer days. The nearby mural along with changing houses painted in bright colors add to the attraction.

The Atmosphere is Excellent, The beach is neat and clean. Slight blue bubble issue but the space is good for a hot day, the restrooms are clean and the water temperature suits perfectly for hot weather. The tidal pool has a slippery issue underwater but hey it's to be expected as it's a aquatic space and If you ever find yourself hot and bothered, drop around here I actually recommend it...Keep Cool at St James ladies and gents

Spectacular tidal pool with a beach and the beautiful colored houses. It’s pretty shallow to walk into most of the pool area, and only a deeper water area next to the ocean. Stunning rocks with the waves splashing makes for a serene experience.

Best tidal pool for early morning swims. Only problem is the humans who don't pic after themselves. AND the newly renovated changing rooms is a joke. People literally camp out in them and you don't actually get to use it.

Nice, safe place for kids to frolic in the water, lovely to see the newly renovated iconic huts. A lovely walk (from Muizenberg) and a lovely way to spend an afternoon
