Transkei Beach Cottages
We had a lovely time at the beach cottage. Barry and Matie are very welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The unit is still in progress but it is a good size and offers privacy. The beach view and access are amazing. We loved having a beach to ourselves and would imagine camping would be just as comfortable. We hope to return soon. The drive is a bit hectic and I would recommend a bakkie or 4x4 vehicle, however I did see cars on the road who managed it.

Beautiful peaceful space, so close to the beach, lots of goooood fishing. When we were there we had the whole beach to ourselves.The cottage has all you need and if it doesn't Barry may have it and good conversation!Lovely people!!The dogs and cat are friendly and great company on and off the beach.There is clean spring water to drink.A wonderful holiday we had !!

Thank you Barry Sahd for an amazing 4 days spent in one of your beach cottages. The serenity and nature-quiet of the area is unsurpassed. Rustic and simplistic way to spend a few days to reconnect with ones soul walking the beach with your lovely dogs.Lovely beach to walk either way. Absolutely 100% safe with dogs to accompany you. Beautiful cows may meet you along the way. And mostly i cannot describe how amazing it was to watch whales breach and play, slapping the water with their tails.... for simply hours.Take your binoculars if you take nothing else.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Transkei Beach cottages for 10 days.Surely one of the best holidays we had in a long time.Thank you to Barry, John (Fishing guide) and the lady that bakes the bread max and sea dog.We will be back in the near future

My son and I were looking for a place on the wild coast where we could do some fishing. Barry organised a young fishing guide called John who showed us all the spots. We had a great time at Cebe and Barry’s place had everything we needed. We will be definitely be back for another visit!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Transkei beach cottages recently. Idyllic setting, untouched nature and beautiful views...just what we needed in a getaway to unwind from city life. Barry is an awesome host and his 3 dogs are just precious...they welcomed my fur baby on arrival and happily escorted us on long walks on the beach each day and daily exploration of the rockpools. Will definitely return for another stay and for that delicious homemade Gatskop chillie sauce" that Barry makes."

most incredible place. amazing location, wonderful beaches and just sheer relaxation. bring your tjop and dop, find a fish, endless walks, amazing swimming and such a lovely host. thank you our family had a blast

The setting is absolutely fantastic - just a small gate between you and the beach and rocks.The view and sound of the waves make it rather special.We love the seclusion to be found on the Wild Coast.The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, giving us some local knowledge as well.We enjoyed the rest.

Lovely venue. Proximity to the beach lends lovely views. Fishing spots are easily reachable. Loads of km's for walks or hiking. Host offers Transkei 'treats' on request. We left our fishing tackle and other goodies out at night and nothing was interfered with or stolen. We felt very safe there
