Blyde River Canyon Lodge

Beautiful lodge with amazing owner and staff! my partner and I stayed there for two nights and had a wonderful time, we were so well taken care of and the food was amazing. There’s lots to do in and around the place, and the zebras get pretty close which was cool to see. Highly recommend and will be staying here again when we return to South Africa!

The rooms are very small considering that the lodge seemingly has a 4 star rating. Therefore seems not so convenient for longer stay. Also consider having a braai area. The swimming pool need some working to do. The parking space seems inadequate and requires some working to do.

Nice lodge with a beautiful garden and some animals like zebras and bucks. Breakfast and dinner was very good, lunch nothing special with toast, salad or fish and chips.Rooms are different in size, beds very soft

Second time staying at this lodge. The lodge is located near Blyde Canyon Dam on a beautiful gate property. On our arrival we were already greeted by the Zebras living on the property, amongst other animals like Baboons. The rooms are very nice and also the breakfast was very good. Definitely a place I will continue to recommend to friends.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The most beautiful setting with well kept gardens and well looked after rooms. Zebras in the evening and waking up to wildebeest outside our room in the morning ! The staff were absolutely delightful - not sure where Vicky finds her team but they are fabulous. Food was delicious and they even made yummy gluten free bread for me (the chef kindly wrote down the recipe for me too!!)AND we woke up to a clean car in the morning. Beautiful lodge, with really nice rooms. Loved the decor of rooms.You can go for a morning walk, there is a huge area around the lodge, you can find deer walking around and this beautiful lake also. All of this within walking distance of your room.The dinner was also delicious, a 3 course meal with soup, tasty steak and dessert.For breakfast they ask you for your preferences one night in advance and keep it ready next morning whenever you want it. If you have to leave really early at 4 or 5 AM, they even pack it for you and keep it ready.Just loved the service overall, location of the place and the room.The staff also helped me book lot of activities around the area like boat rides, safari, quad bike, etc.

Amazing Lodge … Super friendly staff, delicious food (Breakfast and Dinner), very clean and incredibly view to the blyde canonthe lodge manager pocketed the tip herself and didn't share it with the staff as promised, and my accommodation was debited again two weeks later!!!! extreme caution

Mpumalanga Hoedspruit, 547 km from R510 Sandfontein 6 hrs drive. Home to the 3 beautiful Drakensberg Rondavel mountains, God's Window and Blyde River going through. Beautiful Lodge. We enjoyed. Reasonable prices. Great management and staff. Health protocols followed.
