OfferZen is a tech company working on disrupting the software recruitment industry. Their online marketplace makes it easy for companies in Cape Town and Johannesburg to find and talk directly to top tech talent (software developers, UX designers, data scientists, etc.).

Looks like a great company and they really attract you by putting emphasis on all the benefits they offer such as remote work, medical aid contribution etc, however, their recruitment process is ridiculous and a waste of time. I would suggest not having interviews with your candidates before you are sure they will move forward to next steps and I would also suggest giving candidates a fair chance before sending a general email saying that you won't be moving forward with applications.There's no point in making candidates excited by showing interest and then dropping them before actually giving them a fair chance to show their skills. You cannot test one's ability on a 15-min call. Their process is just very conflicting with an article they wrote saying that they want to provide candidates with the best recruitment experience. The interviewer was nice and everything, but nice isn't going to provide candidates with the best experience. As mentioned above, in order to improve, maybe don't conduct interviews with candidates only to decline the application without giving them a chance to show their skills. Candidates need to be taken seriously and their time really shouldn't be wasted like this.

Offerzen is such a great company. They are by far the top tech website in South Africa to hire and recruit developers. Their website makes hiring developers easy and as a user I prefer them over traditional technology recruitment companies.
