Fresh Laundry Summerstrand

The only reason that I feel that Fresh Laundry gets an okay from me is their professionalism over the phone.Unfortunately I could not use them as they don't offer a pick up and delivery service to travelers.They do cater however in this regard to companies and hotels etc.So Unfortunately I could not use them, even though I needed them every day for 7days.... pity

100% recommendation. Laundry folded neatly; reasonable price; friendly staff. I have never had items missing.

Clothes went missing constantly. I would not recommend this shop at all. Please find a different shop to wash your clothes. I received a few times other people's clothes within my bunch of clothes.

Not being one to Air my dirty laundry so to speak.... i was a happy contract customer at this establishment until items of my husband clothing went missing i am at my wits end with this owner. We dropped off my husbands laundry 3 weeks ago and once collected realised there were items missing. We returned to be given another bag. There were still clothes missing. We were told they would look for it by the staff and phone us. A week went by and nothing . I eventually tracked down the owner after her staff refused to give me her details and cried and begged for me not to... and at first she was very apologetic but as the days went by and we enquired and followed up numerous times she too was promising to return our calls which she never did. Our credibility was then questioned when we were told that the clothes were nowhere and this couldnt be the staff. I sent a detailed inventory of missing items while my husband had no clothes for work as we had just moved from CT and he only brought the necessities with him. With daily phone calls now not being returned we eventually made headway and were told that we would be reimbursed (three weeks later). My husband and i were happy that the owner was finally taking some responsibility and we were asked to send through a q uote. We googled and sent through links that matched his items from woolies, and mr price .with her then going back on her word and now completely ignoring our calls and watsapps. Only to be told that she wouldnt *pay the money into our joint account with my name as they were his clothes. She will do the transfer when she is ready. The more expensive tshirt was a thailand rip off and all of a sudden the lady at the laundry said all the clothes (which she now remembers and checked the label) were from mr price*. We are flabbergasted that a business owner can be so un proffessional in dealing with a clients problem that her staff have now admitted to while we spend more money on phone calls and have to buy R2500 worth of clothes to replace these items.we neverclaimed forall items as 3tshirts were old andsome linen to try be helpful as well. We were recommended by one of the guest houses in the area which we are staying at for 6 months while we find a property. She is also mortified and the sad thing is, a problem which happens as in life could become such a big ordeal to us due to being fobbed off and lied to on more that a dozen occasions. We now have the very unpleasent and daunting task to lay a charge of theft against her and go to court to try recoup our money... she has lied and had different excuses all the time. Whether you take your tv or appliances or clothes in to be fixed or cleaned, its the same principals that apply. Any consumers good should be repected. With piles of washing laying out the front of her shop on the pavement and bags of washing everywhere its no wonder our clothes went missing.

I would not recommend this establishment. After using their services for just over 2 years, some of my clothes went missing. In addition, my clothes came back with more (foreign) stains/marks on many occasions, especially white items. My laundry always came back smelling fresh and neatly folded, however I would not say it was clean/stain fresh. Very mediocre!

Just tried to have washing and ironing done . Absolutely no interest by manageress chewing gum and looking everywhere but at a customer. Janet the owner was as uninterested. No chemicals to remove stains. Pity as we are visitors and have always used them in previous visits. Not again
