Very friendly and professional host even during covid times. Willing to assist where they can. Small cosy rooms with all you need for a stay like home feeling and a fit breakfast to get your day started.

Bespoke and boutique, fly fisherman and whisky lovers retreat. Huge comfortable and well fitted, period styled room, massive modern bathroom. Food was excellent, bar well stocked. Will certainly make a stop here, when next in this patch of the Karoo.

We will score the Angler & Antelope Guesthouse a 10 out of 10. The hospitality that you find with Allan and Anabelle is unbeatable. The food and accommodation is marvelous.We had a wonderful time with Allan trying to teach us how to fly fish. We learnt about the insects in the water and which fly to use when and with what you see in the water.Thank you Allan and Anabelle.

Somerset East is a quaint town. The Guesthouse was great, food excellent and Alan and Annabelle go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. The fishing was an eye opener... Beautiful setting and impressive fish.

Super safe place to stay if you're worried about Covid. All the bits and bobs in my room were wrapped in plastic to put my mind at ease. And the owners didn't take their masks off ever - not once.Delicious food, beautiful grounds, impeccable service, and my room was comfortable, clean and charming.Special thanks to the owners who took the time to tell my about the history of the building. The decommissioned church is over 100 years old and there are some areas where you can see exposed, sun baked bricks. Incredible stay and hospitality

My stay at Angler & Antelope was awesome. The accommodation is spotless, super comfy and I had a great view of the mountain. Annabelle's meals are incredible! Looking forward to my next visit!

Great hospitality and breakfast and bar in old chapel. Friendly, helpful hosts that double as local fly fishing guides. All in the name. If angling is your thing, this is the guest house for you in quaint Somerset East... Yes - quaint!

The guesthouse is a gem. Lovely rooms, excellent meals, quiet location. The owners, Alan and Anabel, are amazing, and we felt privileged to meet them. Alan's knowledge of trout is immense, and his help with the guided fishing was beyond our expectations.We look forward to a return visit next year.Thank you both so much.

5th visit and the attention to detail from Alan and Annebelle is still outstanding.Annebelles culinary skills are not to be missed.Alan is an encyclopedia of knowledge and useful information.His fly fishing and guiding ability is unbeatable.Great hospitality. We'll be back.
