Deon and Rina and team are the best. Deon got my sister with no diving experience on a DSD to a 15m dive with no issues after one pool session. Open water for 53 min! Deon is the most attentative dive instructor and extremely patient. ive been a diver many years ago and my sis now starting out, starting and re engaging open water diving again realising how good it can be. Deon and team supplying all nesssary equipment , all kitted up beforehand so no effort, and after the dive some very nice toasted sarmies and hot coffee, showers ect. hell that was so good. Highly recommended.

What an amazing experience from start to end. Firstly, they are very well priced, which was our main focus from the 7 dive schools we contacted. The visibility was poor the whole week due to the constant rains and Deon, the owner and dive master kept us in loop of how well things are clearing up three times daily. When conditions were perfect, Deon let us know and from arrival at Buddy's we felt at home. From Rina's coffee and home made rusks, to the wholesome conversations and guidance with setting up.The whole vibe and the regular repeat of just chill" from the team created a laid back experience where everything was taken care of. Just the best experience that I have ever had with Dive Charters in Umkomaas, Buddy Scuba - Deon, Rina and Aldo just does everything they possibly can to make you feel at home, we had such a wonderful experience from sleeping, Breakfast :), Boat ride and diving. I would recommend Buddy Scuba to anyone visiting Umkomaas even If one is not a diver, Buddy Scuba is a home away from home. Diving,staying at Buddy Scuba is a one at least experience in a lifetime;is feeling at home out of home,is like visiting family you haven't seen in ages and nohing changes.And as diving I also have the privilege of being in the diving industry,I'm instructor and work since 2007 and I don't think I met before any person so approachable,skilled ,and with good communication skills as sense of humor like Deon.Not to forget Rina and Aldo.A perfect triangle of education and enjoyment.Can't wait for I hope a next visit.THANKS to EVERYONE at BUDDY SCUBA!.Alex.

Had a good boat dive experience with Buddy Scuba Dive (besides some sea sickness). They accommodated us last minute and all the instructors were super helpful and friendly, from assisting with gear to washing it immediately after the dive :)
