The Fynbos Trail
One of the secrets tucked away in the Stanford hills, what an amazing trail and stunning fynbos. Unexpected, ancient forest of beautiful gnarly Milkwoods, a place where imagination and fairy tales come alive! The afro-montane forest was an added treat. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us, the accommodation was top and the food even better. I'd give 6 stars on a scale of 5! Thank you Ian and Sara, that was truly amazing!

The Fynbos Trail
Fascinating insights into the rich diversity, uniqueness and interconnectedness of all things when it comes to the Fynbos biome. The walk itself was not too strenuous but definitely felt like that glass of wine at the end of the day was well deserved. Wonderful knowledgeable guides who kept us spellbound over three days. Hope to be back

We were a group of 5 friends doing the guided slack packing option. Billy was our knowledgeable and fun guide who was informative and entertaining and kept us all motivated. Thanks Billy. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and we were made to feel at home at each house. Food was prepared by Sara who made our delicious meals - thanks Sara. A thanks to Ian for meeting us and for looking after us too. The walk itself was just wonderful and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks to all at the Fynbos Trail for an excellent experience.

The Fynbos Trail
A magnificent walk through the flora of the Grootbos Nature Reserve. Our guide was so informative pointing out the unity and symbiosis in nature among, plants, animals, insects and birds. Highly recommend that hikers experience this walk with a guide. There is so much to learn. Our hosts are passionate in their endeavors to preserve this unique and beautiful floral kingdom.

The Fynbos Trail
This hike has a fantastic route that takes you through an incredible variety of landscapes and biomes including Fynbos, afromontain forest and ancient milkwoods. Streams, swim spots and waterfalls included Perfect balance of slightly challenging in terms of distance and incline but with ample time to relax at the evenings accommodation. The perfect hike.

The Fynbos Trail
Phenomenal!! From the moment we arrived til the moment we left it was pure bliss. Sincere thanks to Ian, Sean and Michelle who have made this a reality and for sharing your passions as well. I am also very thankful for all the private landowners who have bound together to make this a place of safety for all the animals and plants who inhabit the area. The accommodation, the service, the INCREDIBLE land and purity here is mind blowing. We will be back for sure. Very good value and it is all very well run/taken care of.

Had the most amazing 2 days on the Fynbos Trail. From beginning to end it was superb. Credit to Ian for making sure our luggage was safe and our drinks were cold. Sara put on an amazing spread for supper and brekkie. Would highly recommend this trail

The Fynbos Trail
This was a wonderful nature retreat. The Fynbos Trail takes you on 3 hikes over 3 days. You hike to your next accommodation. The different biomes that you hike through are spectacular. You head underneath of Forrest canopy then move on to the indigenous Fynbos which is an experienced on your eyes and your nose as the aromas are natural and soothing. This is also a wonderful bird watching route. We managed to see black shouldered kite circling quite close to us.
