It was once a good laboratory, we had been using them for over a decade. But the last two years have been horrendous. Their customer service is so bad, calling it unprofessional would actually be a compliment. In terms of being able to assay exploration samples correctly... they have failed repeatedly on this, no need to mention how long it has taken. When we finally sent in an independent 3rd party to assist, the truth of what was actually happening came out and was alarming to say the least. Send your samples anywhere else till they can resolve their internal issues, if ever.

Generally great service and very reliable results. Lead time is unfortunately very long - the volume of work are huge and the staff seems a bit thin. Professional. SANAS 17025 accredited.

The worst service received. Turn around time is way to long and waiting for your final docs takes forever. Communication is dismal and constantly have to send reminders. Their JHB office has way to many steps and red tape for a simple document to be issued. Last time using them as client my also complained of the effect it has on our logistics chain for delivery and clearing our goods.

Before SGS had a very high service level - sadly I have to say that the past two years it was just going down hill - not even the complaints logging works! I have been asking for my certificates for the past two months and the response I get is absolutely unprofessional !!! I have send email to the persons involved with absolutely NO feedbackSadly I will not recommend people to use this body until they decide to pull their socks up - we definitely will not be using SGS anymore
