Sibuya Game Reserve Reception

Had the most magical and wonderful time. Luke and Jo the rangers were knowledgeable, kind and great fun. The reserve is beautifully kept everyone works so hard and the animals all look well fed and not bothered by us. Lunch was superb having gluten and dairy free options. We had a perfect day with Mike! He was an amazing guide and we really enjoyed the time with him. In the beginning he made sure to ask what animals we are interested in and over the whole day he tried to show us as many as possible. He knows so much about the wildlife and explained everything patiently.We definitely recommend the full day trip and you can be lucky if you get Mike as a guide! Thanks from the Germans, hope to see you again!

Awesome game reserve, food was great, especially their sticky ribs. Had an awesome game ranger and managed to see allot of animals within the first few minutes. Awesome boat cruise to get to the lodge. Gives it that secluded feel. Definitely an experience everyone should have.

The staff was friendly,the tour guide magnificent the trip wasSuper duper the breaks during the game drive and the restaurant staff were spot-on I had a great time keep it up guys and Nick you were a great guide!!!!

I did not think that the river cruise and lunch was good value for money.It was wonderful to be out in nature and on the water. The ranger was informative. We saw plenty of bird life, no game.The bush camp where we had lunch was average and so was the buffet lunch.

What a lovely stunning fantastic place!Make sure you stay minimum 3 nights to not rush on your game drives and enjoy nature and simply exploring the surrounding.Our ranger PJ was such a great and knowledgeable person, he knew everything about the reserve, animals, birds and plants. He cared a lot about us and took us on game drives up to three times a day! We couldn't have wished for anyone better than him. All people involved with Sibuya were fantastic, caring and just loved this place which was amazing to experience.We had super diverse drives along different parts of the reserve, managed to see all kinds of antilope, zebras, giraffes, elephants, lion, rhinos, pumbas... The camp scenery itself is just insane! We stayed at the forest camp but in fact you cannot pick a wrong one! The rooms were stunning, super quiet with an intense atmosphere, sitting outside Impalas would simply cross. Food and drinks were amazing, im vegetarian so they did an extra station three times a day - other people had allergies and they handled this perfectly as well.

Our stay at Sibuya Game Reserve was such a memorable experience and we think back to it a lot. It was definitely the highlight of our South Africa trip. We stayed at River Camp in luxurious and spacious tents, the meals were delicious and even vegan food was specially prepared at our request. The staff members were very friendly and attentive and realized every wish for us. The special highlight were the game drives! Our ranger Ryan was an extremely competent guide and perfect host. You could easily see that he loves the animals and the possibility to contribute to the understanding of the importance of environmental conservation. He was very considerate, always noticed when we intended to take a photo and steered the offroad vehicle to give us the best view. He adjusted the game drives to our wishes, i.e. no problem if we wanted to stay longer in one place. He knows a lot about the history of Sibuya, about the large and also the small and tiny animals and all the plants and their role in the ecological balance. So every day we learned a lot of interesting new facts in an entertaining way. Between the two daily game drives there is plenty to do like swimming in the river or kayaking. We had a great time and will definitely come back again. Thank you so much Ryan and the whole team at Sibuya!

Sibuya Game Reserve is a gem! Very nice located in the middle of the bush, with a relaxing boat cruise in the beginning. The rooms a are big and beautiful decorated. The food is really good and over the tops are the fantastic game drives through this stunning reserve. All staff member - beginning from the ranger to the kitchen/ cleaning staff - are very friendly and helpful. You have the feeling to belong to a family. At the end of your days you don’t want to leave.
I heard from a few friends already that the day trips are also worth it’s money. But if it’s possible I would definitely to recommend to stay over night. We definitely come back!

We did the river cruise and lunch. I give it 5 stars because I can't give it 6. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience! Our guide, Jonno, was great, very fun and patient with the kids, the lunch was absolutely amazing, and the staff incredible, the facilities were fantastic and the setting so tranquil and beautiful.

What a wonderful experience! From our arrival to the very last minute, the team at Sibuya Game Reserve looked after our every need and treated us like royalty.The boat ride was incredible!! Our guide for the day, Michael is well educated in everything regarding the safari experience. He is fun and informative and we'd recommend him anytime! We felt safe all the time and he made an effort to try and spot some elephants and lions. Although luck wasn't on our side we did see other animals such as giraffes, zebras, impalas and rhino's! We even saw a fish eagle! Michael knows a lot of bird species and could copy many of the sounds they make! Very entertaining!To top it off we were treated to a spread of yummy foods and drinks. They made special arrangements for our dietary preferences! This trip is both thrilling and relaxing and is definitely something you should do at the very beginning of your trip! Trust me! It will be the thing you talk about the most on your holiday!Thank you Sibuya - we'll be back!
