EC Cape Town English Language School

One of the most marvelous places to learn in the whole country. Great professors, great infraestructure, great staff, pretty much everything makes feel at home. The only thing I could consider to criticise is the small size of the library, but that is more of an observation than a actual critic.I've spent 3 months in Cape Town studying with EC and their incredible personnel, and I can't wait to go back there. The experience of have being there is indescribable.I not only reccomend EC. I also love EC Cape Town.

Its a good school to study at, nice stuff and very helpful, they over good English courses and very cool activities, they located in the heart of the mother city Cape Town, near to everything restaurants, shops, transportation and tourist places. I highly recommend to visit it and study there. They also have a good mix of nationalities which can help to practice so improve the the language

When I did my English program, the school was full of racist European teenagers (a lot of non-English speakers from Europe travel to South Africa for English learning). Absolute savages! The teachers turned a blind eye or contributed to the racist microaggressions I had to deal with every day. The school receives a diversity of students, so it may seem not openly segregated, but it is, and some justify it by the country's history. The city is beautiful, but as a person of color, I encounter astonishing levels of discrimination I wasn't used to. Under that type of unnecessary stress, my results weren't what I had planned. Looking back, for the amount of money I spent on school tuition, traveling, and lodging I believe I would have been better off by getting a private tutor online and traveling somewhere else for the experience.Edit:I have read your reply. Very business like. Thank you for your concern anyway.Indeed the school is multicultural and open to diversity. However, micro aggressions are very difficult to detail and even with teachers witnessing it, I guess they are only paid to teach and not “to mess” with particular type of students. It gets worse when siding with the bullies are other people of color (middle eastern in my case) strongly biased against people of African origin learning English with them. Unless the school administration creates clear and available options to help students in distress that may end up in this school, to me it makes no difference to prolong my review in private.

Excellent school, I mean journey there. I did enjoy all my days there.
