Checkers Hyper Roodepoort

My once a month one-stop shop. I love it. I love the availability of stock and the variety of items. It will always be my number 1.

The store has been refurbished and modernised and they have done a lovely job.That said as an ex supermarket executive I would make the following comments.1. The shop feels cluttered because there are too many stands and baskets in the aisls.2. I feel they have crammed too big a range into too small a shop. (Two pints into a one pint bottle).3. Insufficient cashiers on duty led to long queuesLovely fixtures and fittings but I personally found it too cramped for my taste.

Love the new layout! Strange tho that a huge baby shop is in front of the tills, would've been nice to have a variety of shops closer together. Overall good experience.

The Checkers Hyper Roodepoort was always a pleasant place to shop and didn't think it could better. However, once the revamp was done in line with other Checkers Hyper it has become even more of a pleasure, the lighting, the displays, the overall range and availability has improved tremendously. A great shopping experience

Very big shop, helpful staff always willing to go to the back to see if there is any stock left. They always have nice specials as well and the drive there is always worth it.

Very nice new look.However prices and quality not so much. Bought this bag of pink lady very disappointed. Due to packaging cant see bad quality. Every single apple.

Recently renovated to the same upgraded standard and the rest of the chain the Checkers Hyperama grocery and general goods store has undergone a remarkable transformation for the better.The layout is much better and more intuitive than before and the staff seem more active between the isles.Most importantly the queue times for paying at the tills has been drastically reduced and streamlined.my one complaint is the seemingly consistently lower staff compliment assisting clients at the deli section and the bakery. there never seems to be more than one person on duty assisting clients and with even just one or two people in-front of you this leads to 5-10 minute wait times especially around lunch time.other than this it is a huge improvement and I enjoy my shopping there in general.

Stunning, clean, first class service and the staff are super friendly. Thank you for a great shopping experience.

The quality of the meat should be better. Huge variety, but it's way too overpriced . Bakery goods look awesome but tastes bland. Service as well could be better.

This particular shop is like a candy shop for adults. It's clean, meat section and decor section are my favorites.It's just a one stop shop, right next to it is a pet shop which is amazing. Saves you time to drive around looking for vet approved pet food. As I said it's a one stop shop. Love it
