Alpine Bed & Breakfast

Exceptional. Very clean. Very comfortable and spacious. The food was fantastic. Very friendly hosts. Highly recommended. We will be back.

We like to split the journey between the Eastern Cape and Kwazulu-Natal. Alpine has become our first choice stopover. The rooms are clean, staff are friendly, beds comfortable and their restaurant menu is reasonably priced and the food is good (last orders at 6pm so you do need to check in by then if you want to go to the restaurant). It’s an oasis after a long trip.

Lovely place for our overnight stay. Accommodating hosts. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast spread. Electric blankets on the beds were a treat. Snow on the mountains just after Maclear.

This was probably our 6th or 7th time staying over at Alpine as our half way stop between KZN and the Eastern Cape. Ria, Charles, and their son are just incredible at accommodating us and making sure we are comfortable.There is a play area for kids, jungle gym and a large grassy yard for kids to kick a ball or play catch.If you are running late for the 6pm food order cut off time, they will make sure your food is ready when you arrive. The menu caters for everyone and food is delicious. Service is always friendly.The rooms are spotless, new linen, tv (limited, but decent channels) and Wi-Fi. There is always fresh milk in the fridge with water bottles. Small details like an emergency medical kit, individually wrapped cutlery, plenty tea and coffee are always appreciated.Easy check in and check out. We usually have our boat in tow and Charles is always so helpful when my husband is parking the boat or exiting the property.We have honestly never even considered another BnB in this beautiful Maclear area.

Spotless, super comfortable, welcome and support great, delicious food, security excellent, well equipped for loadshedding. Highly recommended overnight stop. Just off main road, but private with view of nature, not town.

Secure parking, safe and excellent service. Rooms were very comfortable too.
