Best butchery! Wish I could give them ten stars. Their meat is of the highest quality, you can see and taste the quality. Their marinated meats are stunning, you can taste all the ingredients. Also their biltong is the best. I only buy from them. Well done to their whole team.

Have ordered from them before and never had a problem and the service was good before. I don’t know what happened but the quality of the meat dropped significantly. On the day we picked up our order we froze the meat. But every time we take out the meat for dinner the meat has already gone bad. All the lamb we bought was off. I praised them and told everyone to buy from them. I take back my words, will never buy from them again. Very disappointed and a lot of money wasted!

I visited Bert's Butchery at Honeycrest Centre yesterday and what an experience. I don't think I have ever seen such a spotless, clean and tidy butchery ever. Bought some boerewors and sosaties for a braai last night. Magnificent and just as good as from the original Bert's in Darewood/Linden. For me, the now famous Riana's boerie is out of this world. The lamb sosaties are probably the closest you will ever get to the real thing, the original traditional flavour. Also don't for get to try their droe wors and biltong. You won't be disappointed. I was very pleased to see that Bert's have lamb tails in stock. This is a delicacy you hardly ever see in a Joburg butchery. Cooked in a potjie with curry sous or plain braaied on the coals they are a treat.
