After extensive research we elected to install our solar system with Enpal. This was hugely reassuring given that other suppliers were unable to commit to install under six weeks. It is seldom that one anticipates a completely seamless experience when you respond to a Facebook Ad from, Enpal, a company based in Germany offering a Solar solution in South Africa. But, we are super impressed because the first interaction was a day later when we were offered a Teams meeting appointment to discuss our needs. You know how those go...blah blah blah, we can solve your entire problems. Well the first interaction with Jermaine was pleasant and sincere, and surprisingly less blah, blah and more appreciative of what we are experiencing in South Africa. At the same time the interaction was informative and helpful. It was followed shortly by a South African contractor who visited our home and discussed with us what we wanted and what Enpal could do.There was a follow up meeting to discuss the quote, the equipment and the solution. We were very impressed with the thoroughness and attention to detail. We were also impressed with the quality of the installation components - inverter, battery and solar panels - which Enpal quoted. Being slightly skeptical we kept considering that this whole process could be an elaborate scam. Our tension was heightened at the point of payment, and although payment was to a South African bank, there is still the doubt that this is all authentic.It is two weeks since that payment and our solar solution of batteries, inverter and panels are installed. The application to the City Council is complete. Our installation is complete and we are monitoring activity on our App. Overall, there are simple and important steps to make a customer happy: Do what you say you are going to do, Keep your customer informed, Give them great value, Build confidence in your service, and deliver! Enpal have done that for us. We are very grateful for the quality of service and installation. We hope that others are able to experience this too. I seldom voice publicly my impression of a company, but in this case as a marketer, I know what it takes to break into a new market when you're operating from a distance. I was skeptical, I am not any longer.

Say goodbye to Eskom loadshedding!From first interaction via the sales rep in Germany, site consultation, to site installers, the hybrid solar home installation experience has been excellent.The price is competitive and they take you through each step of the process and recommend a best fit solution.On acceptance of the quote they require a 70% deposit with balance on completion. I could understand people hesitating with that, however they are an established German company and I believe this shows commitment from both sides.One advantage Enpal may have over competitors is they seem to be able to source tier 1 solar panels without a backlog delay. From initial enquiry to installation was 1 month.Enpal appear to use only top brand components, for my install it was Deye inverter, Volta battery and JinkoSolar tier 1 solar panels.The hybrid system is working well, it balances available power sources, i.e. solar, battery and grid and you don't even notice when its load shedding as the transfer to back up battery power is seamless. Depending on the size of inverter etc. you may have to monitor which high power appliances you have running at the same time during loadshedding. If your system is rated 5 Kw then having multiple 2 Kw appliances like a kettle, and heaters running could trip the system, in which case you would turn off non essentials and the system resets in 4 min automatically.We are happy with the installation and operation of our Solar installation from Enpal.Greg
