Basse Provence Guest House at Rickety Bridge
Basse provence is an amazing place to stay in Franschhoek. The hosts are really nice and helpfull in all situations. It is located at Rickety Bridge which is part of the Blue Line of the Franschhoek Vine tram. We are looking forward to come back any time soon.

Incredible service, impeccable rooms and venue. Couldnt ask for more. Thank you for an immaculate stay, that met and exceeded our expectations. The staff were always willing to help and offer us anything we needed/requested, and made sure that the stay was so great, thank you! Will reccomend anyone to come stay here!

Basse Provence Guest House at Rickety Bridge
A last minute overnight stay in Franschhoek led us to Rickety Bridge and we’re so glad it did because we had an amazing stay!From the moment we enquired about availability (literally the day before) until our arrival and check out, the staff were super friendly, accommodating and professional. We also received a wonderful package which included lunch at their restaurant, wine tasting and breakfast upon checkout! If you’re looking for a little staycation, I’d highly recommend this underrated gem.

Basse Provence Guest House at Rickety Bridge
Beautiful grounds and rooms. Rooms had a vintage Provencal style with wooden floors and vintage bathroom fittings. Comfy beds and bedding. Large elegant room. Service was good. Breakfast was lovely. Their muffins had a bit too much bicarb, but everything else was divine. We were treated to a complementary wine tasting at the Rickety Bridge restaurant, which was fabulous. Our sommelier was super! Lazy walks through the vineyards at dusk and a dip in the plunge pool after dark are a must. Highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again.

Basse Provence Guest House at Rickety Bridge
Great location and setting for launching your Franschhoek experience. Set far back from the main road the grounds are beautiful and well kept. The accommodation is exactly what you see in the pictures and the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The guest house is also only a short walk through the vineyards from Rickety Bridge Wines. Complementary wine tasting and an included breakfast rounded off the stay wonderfully. Definitely worth considering for a night or two in the beautiful Franschhoek valley.

Had a great time at Basse Provence. Checking in was quick and the room as exceptionally clean. It has everything you need and super fast wifi is a plus. Breakfasts were great and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend Basse Provence to anyone and would happily stay there again

Basse Provence Guest House at Rickety Bridge
We booked a stay for the weekend which included a lunch tasting menu at Rickety Bridge which is a short walk from the accomodation. From the moment we arrived just absolute excellent service, we had an ensuite loft room in the Manor House which has a big bath, beautiful thatched roof and airconditioning, outside a braai area table and chairs looking onto the valley and adjacent hills just beautiful. If you are sensitive to the sound of the road then perhaps not for you but if you are City people like my wife and I the sound of cars isnt a bother and the place is truly beautiful and well worth the stay.

Lovely area. They organised me free lifts to the Rickety Bridge restaurant and returned me back again.The breakfast was very generous and they gave me a late check out.It was also well positioned for various wine tours.Recommended.
