An overall magical experience. With a braille trail, and a gorgeous view of a beautiful waterfall and a man made rain forest, this is probably the best Gardens I have been to in a few years.

It's absolutely beautiful. The park is really well maintained with clean facilities and friendly staff. Enter through gate 1 for a view of the waterfall and return to drive to gate 2 as the suspension bridge linking the two areas is unfortunately broken at the moment. Gate 2 offers a beautiful walk through the African rain forest, picnic spots and a kids play area.

This place is absolutely amazing!! The range of plant life is beyond imagining, all thriving in a spectacular natural setting with rivers and waterfalls. The signs and educational displays are very helpful; the paths are well-groomed and enticing, and all-in-all it is a perfect place to spend a few hours. If I lived in the area, I would visit many times a year.

As far as national botanical gardens go, this is probably one of the best in SA. WONDERFUL play area for the kids, with shaded benches nearby. Pathways are abundant, with stunning views. Upon entering the park (at the kiosk) you should ask about the river walk - it is required to let them know if you do take the short hike for safety reasons. The raised walkway through the forest and across the river is an awesome experience for adults and kids alike. Be weary of some of the walkways in shady areas - they do tend to be a bit slippery, especially when wet. Flora is diverse and lush, even in winter! Varieties and examples from all over africa. Well tended gardens and lawns. Loads of insects and birds to see (especially sunbirds). Grounds keepers are friendly and do a stellar job of ensuring a litter free area - please do the same.

A really great place if you just want to get away from all the rush of daily life, very peaceful, tranquil, and a rainforest also aswel as a suspension bridge as for my experience it was a few years ago, I wont forget the day we had one of our best memories made thereRemember the tree that was covering the path there as we walked up the steps, our initials carved in the tree also the first day that you went to walk the labyrinth with me I can still remember how excited you looked that day. Two souls in perfect balance Ying and yang

One of the best Botanical gardens in the country and a real gem in Mbombela. There is just so much to see and the gardens are well curated and taken care of. There are restaurants and also many spots to stop and picnic. The place has great signage and this combined with the maps ensures you always have an idea where you are.My favourite was the African rainforest, the suspension bridge and the very powerful waterfalls.
