Fun experience. Try to take advantage of the Tuesday half price special and the Sunday night special as well. You can get snacks and they have lockers.

Very fun to test your skills again after a very long time. Great to have assistance penguins for the kids and the less skilled family members and friends. Socks is required though, I recommend long ones. Rental skates are not the most comfortable. 2 hour sessions, thus you need to be very fit to skate the whole session through. Snacks and cold drinks also available at the ice rink. There is also lockers (bring your own padlock or buy one at the shop). Bathrooms on site. Not too expensive.

The Ice Rink was a great experience, reasonable pricing, the staff is super friendly.It was my second time & her first time it's always fun learning from others and falling.

Had to wait very long in the line just to be greeted in a very bland mannor. However the actual skating park was very enjoyable and the marshals are very helpful when you fall or are struggling to skate.

The rink is located in the heart of the shopping center, surrounded by festive holiday decorations and twinkling lights.One of the best things about this ice rink is its size - it's large enough to accommodate plenty of skaters without feeling too crowded. The ice is smooth and well-maintained, making for a great skating experience.The atmosphere at The Grove ice rink is also very enjoyable. Skaters of all ages and skill levels can be found on the ice, and everyone seems to be having a great time. If you're new to skating, there are often instructors available to help you get started.Overall, I would definitely recommend the ice rink at The Grove to anyone looking for a fun winter activity.

Kiddo is taking some lessons. The instructors are so nice and patient with the little ones. Really impressed by that!

Went there on the morning of 15 June 2023. As my first time skating on ice, this is a good place to start. The rink was fairly empty with just 2 people. They had a size 3, which was good for me. I made use of the penguin for skating assistance. I had fun and only fell once.

It was my first time ever ice skating. I took my family whose experience is just as much as mine, that means zero experience.We arrived for the N session (14:30 - 16:30). If it's your first time going there, the entrance is where you pay. The payment will include both the entrance and skates for hire. If you have your own skates, be sure to let the staff member know.Now the staff there is really really horrible. Now I am not one to speak ill of staff members but boy was my experience with them not bad. Now I fully understand that people have bad days and I should be more lenient towards that but customer service for new places should always be welcoming. The staff that works the skates (gives you the hired skates) is simply mean and unwelcoming. Again this is just my experience.I will add though that the Kiosk staff is pretty amazing. I bought the penguin that you see in the images (about R75). You will need it as a first timer. They also sell lockers to hold your clothes and other valuables if you're an untrusting person. Those cost around R20.I think they should have staff that works inside the rink (similar to life guards at community pools or water parks). They would assist you in getting used to moving around cause it is really hard. But I know they offer classes but if you're a person who doesn't necessarily want to go pro but want the basics, I feel like they should be a person like that to help you out.The other skaters are really cool. It's a place full of laughter and definitely worse skaters than you. I would recommend you to come here just bare in mind the other details. When you get out (after the session) there's a food court. Your family/date should have plenty to pick from. Good fun day just small fixesI have been debating to give this place a 3 star or a 4 star. My family seems to think a 3 star is more fitting whilst I think a 4 is better. So let's say my experience here is a 3.5 star rating.

The staff was nice. The ice is smooth and they have little penguins to hold on to if you can skate at only R75

Once the kids got the hang of it, they loved it! It was a great experience for them. Facility was clean, staff friendly and helpful.Will definitely go again.
